Well sounds like you know him personally so... it is what it is. I thought he had more ambition. I have met him before and heard only the best of things so I wish him well. Maybe DBK will take him with her when she eventually returns to Nebraska if he prefers to be not in the limelight. What an amazing asset for DBK.

Or he wants to stay in Louisville and him staying as an assistant at Louisville until DBK moves on is his best shot at THAT job.

Cottrill or Cook? Not sure if they would be interested at all… Who's Cook? I definitely would want to see this be a coach that is proven to develop athletes as well too. Not offer free tuition to play for their club.

Maybe they follow OSU and ASU's leads and get a club coach/director? There are some great ones in Michigan Not sure why more schools haven’t done this after the success of JFO. It has to help local recruiting instantly. Let’s not forget that JFO had college coaching experience, at the Big Ten level, prior to her club endeavors.

But keep in mind, the previous staff accumulated as many good players as any team outside two or three.

Club coach director might make an excllent college coach: they train staff, train players, manage bugets travel facilities: potential lack ncaa recruiting experience on opposite side of their previous experience: not ised to having AD be there boss: slight learning curve but depending most would be on the minutia of ncaa and instituition adjustments. Shondell (s), Gimallaro, Dunning, McCutcheon (national to college), jfo, many went club, assistant, head; but no rule says you need to be assistant first: obviously no quarantee assistant even at top scholl automatically is good D1 Head: Believe biggest obstacle for club is they dont want the life style, hours, having deal with ncaa/ school/AD’s bueracrtic BS!

Those shoes will be close to impossible to fill.

Much like JFO

The fact that we're hearing nothing at this point makes me fear that the process won't be started until after football season.

Much like JFO Terri Spann is not the next ASU coach. The position has been offered and accepted and it isn't Spann.

we could also have a kim mulkey (w-basketball) or a mike white (softball) kind of hire if Michigan is willing to put in the money
both went from coaching top programs into rebuilding their new ones and have their teams moving in the right direction…

The fact that we're hearing nothing at this point makes me fear that the process won't be started until after football season. I don't think this is necessarily true. The job has only been open 9 days. That's still less time than every P5 that's hired, the shortest being Oklahoma and Washington at 14 days.

I'm hoping Michigan will not end up being the last P5 team to sign a head coach. Looks like Michigan will be the last P5 to sign a head coach. They still can be among the fastest though. P5 (post-season) Openings:Michigan: 9 days P5s Filled:Oklahoma/Washington: 14 days UCLA*: 18 days (surely delayed by San Diego being in the F4 and ACs have been named) Missouri: 21 days Texas A&M/ASU: 25 days K State: 30 days Oregon State: 37 days
