I didn't get to watch the game vs Rutgers. I'm glad they tried something different and got the win, but from what was posted above, Muisenga had a tough time with her connections and Bishop played well. I can't imagine what is going on inside Holdem's head. I'm sure she's super frustrated.

Kalea Norton, Leela Ormsby, and Olivia Durst have signed their NLI's and will be Spartans.
Caroline Formankova, a commit at one point, has not signed nor has there been any indication or media information that she would be signing. If there's any further news i'll pass that along.

Formankova officially signed. Saw some of the film in MSU's story....obvs everyone posts their best stuff.
But man she was crushing that ball. Could be a very strong addition at Opp next season.

Michigan off to a strong start up 10-5 even down their top pin hitter Allison Jacob’s.
MSU starts off with the 6-2 and it immediately looks f*cking atrocious. This is downright coaching malpractice to put this offensive look in when Musienga hasn’t been able to hit the broad side of a barn let alone a hitting pocket.
This staff is deeply unserious about winning games right now. Full stop.

I just don't see her lasting more than 2 more seasons unless things really turn around. They outperformed two seasons in a row and I think there’s some hope based on the recruiting trail. But this is the first time I have to ask like…..does she have the X’s and O’s To compete at this level? I don’t have a CLUE what you could possibly see on film to be like yeah this puts our offensively challenged unit in the best place to score. And living and dying by Rachael and Julia when you have arguably your purest setter riding the bench with a burned redshirt is just so deeply unserious. It’s embarrassing. I’m not even a high level coach and these adjustments make no sense to anyone I know |

Passed well to finish the game but yeah we really gotta see if the concussion comes back to bite her. She got her bell RUNG |

And who do we think may end up in the portal after seasons over MSU’s instagram posted a photo with a caption saying it was the last practice at Jenison for the seniors and Courtley was included and tagged. So it looks like she might be done with volleyball (or at least at MSU). Such a shame. This season definitely could have gone on a different trajectory with her. |

MSU got swept last night by a very talented Oregon team. From what I've watched, this team has continued to battle without giving up. Iosia is a crazy talent that will be a huge loss next year. Hopefully the setting gets better and faster paced next year but it won't matter unless the outsides really focus on learning how to use/tool the block. Preston and Anderson are very talented hitters, but its either a clean kill or a stuff block with them. The great hitters in this league are consistently able to "see" the block and score even if block is perfectly set up or not.....getting points off of ricochets/glancing off arms/hands etc. is a must have. Mastering this could push Anderson into the .225 and Preston to .250 hitting range in conference which would have a huge effect on how this team does going forward.

We never got any elaboration, news or discussion about it so tbh it may have been one of those that just wouldn’t heal enough to be worth coming back. Would be nice to have her back but rehab is HARD. Could’ve gone differently but I think if we bring back Anderson, a healthy Holdem, and Preston we have some arms already. That is if we portal hard for a setter and don’t do this 6-2 garbage. |
