It's not my fault that easily understandable concepts and communication elude some on here. They instead conclude that "Other people must be the problem. It couldn't possibly be me!" Well, unfortunately it is you. Maybe, instead of being a doughhead, you could take the extra three seconds needed to understand what someone is trying to say rather than condescendingly mock them. In the end, we'd all be better for it.
Irregardless, I'm pretty sure you know where you can stick those thumbs of yours.

And our favorite free speech advocate strikes again!
Ron does not want people knowing how much Florida taxpayer money he spends on travel, or where he goes.
He's pretty clearly a dictator-wannabe. Doesn't want any scrutiny from that pesky free press. Or the citizens of Florida who elected him and pay his salary.

Florida school principal says she was forced out of her job by parents who claimed their kids were "exposed to pornography" because they saw pictures of Michelangelo's "David" in a lesson about art history. www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-65071989

Imagine the craziness, parents deciding what is appropriate for their children. It’s just unheard of.

Are you just trolling, or do you seriously think it is reasonable that parents must pre-approve their children seeing pictures of some of the most famous art in the world?

Are you just trolling, or do you seriously think it is reasonable that parents must pre-approve their children seeing pictures of some of the most famous art in the world? Neither. In the interview it was stated that the protocol is to inform parents that these particular artworks are being shown. That did not happen and became part of the groundwork for principal's removal. Your assertion that parents thought that Michelangelo's David was "pornographic" and the reason for the principal's removal, is incorrect in my view. From the interview I linked... You’re operating from the wrong premise. The teacher mentioned that this was a nonpornographic picture, No. 1. The teacher said, “Don’t tell your parents,” No. 2. So the issue, Dan, isn’t whether children should see these pictures or not. Gosh, we’re a classical school. Why wouldn’t we show Renaissance art to children? My opinion on whether parents should prevent their children from seeing classical works of renaissance art, is inconsequential.

That makes no sense.
Why do parents have to be informed in advance if it's not about pre-approval? Do they have to be informed in advance when the teacher is going to start teaching the kids about fractions?
This is total spin. "We just wanted to be told in advance" is bullsh*t. It's a CYA move because they realize they look like idiots after forcing this principal out of her job.

In MG's world fractions and pictures of classical renaissance art are equivalent. Beautiful, but not everyone's reality.
For the record, I'm not disputing the take that this was all a CYA move on the part of the school board. Just relating how the spin was spun.
Also there is a difference between informing parents out of courtesy (or fear of backlash) and pre-approval. The school never said that they won't show the pictures if parents disapprove, they merely informed parents just in case uptight parents wanted to pull their kids from that particular class, that particular day.
