There are many, many reasons to love this hire.
The relief I feel after seeing the administration make an absolutely wonderful decision is hard to describe.
Can't wait to see how the rest of the staff fills out and what happens with the roster!

Kiraly is quoted in the release saying that he will continue to work with her through this Olympic cycle. That sort of arrangement has not worked well for any team in other cases. Perhaps this one will be different.

Perhaps this one will be different. She's also quoted saying "I look forward to continuing my work with the U.S. Women's National Team through Paris 2024." That does concern me a bit as well as both programs deserve full attention; I think it depends on how much of a load Karch expects her to carry. I'm absolutely thrilled about this pick for Michigan though, she's a perfect fit.

What an awesome hire for Michigan! Wouldn’t be surprised if some of the Michigan players in the portal decided to stay with her. Hopefully it also means Michigan is investing in its volleyball program 🤞

Yeah, I don't like the serving two masters aspect of an otherwise fantastic hire - college coaching takes so much. Hopefully it works out.

Just ask NC State, Slabe missed both Spring recruiting seasons and almost all of preseason during the Olympics. I am not saying it's impossible but the cons outweigh the pros in my opinion.

Now that she has the job, she can afford to dump Karch—nicely of course.

Does she have any head coaching experience? Cuz that crew will chime in if she doesn't . 😉
Congrats Erin. Lots of respect for her.

Just leave Karch while you can Erin lol

She has a large network of coaches, will definitely be interesting to see who she brings in. Would think a quality Associate Head Coach needs to come with her pulling double duty. Edit: Also somebody that's been in the college world. The game has changed since she got out back in 2018.
