Yep; Taylor Porter, OH from Texas and the Skyline program. Anders seems to be putting together a solid roster.

Ohio Yeah I think their 2024 class will reshirt if I recalled correctly. They will probably use the portal to fill in the rest of their roster too with some older players in there.

I was bummed to visit the bookstore today and see no Volleyball merch, but the good news is that you can order it online. As someone who is on campus for work trips semi-regularly, I am excited for the days when I can catch a match.

And Vandy picked up an 11th player for 2025, Sydney Bryant out of Texas who can apparently play OH or MB, although I'm guessing she ends up at MB...

Just providing a quick update here, last night they held a "snack and scout" on campus and we were able to meet and talk with the coaches. They talked about basic volleyball knowledge and vocabulary for those there that might not be well informed on the sport. Anders was extremely nice I got to talk to him for a while.
- He said the other two coaches, Russell and Lauren, will coach the school's club team this upcoming season.
-Someone asked Anders where the team would be playing, and he said that he will be meeting with the architecture team soon and to be on the lookout for updates. He said he did not want them to play in Memorial Gymnasium because it does not have A/C.
-Anders said he was very excited about the recruiting class but could not really speak much on it this close to signing day.
-He said in 2024 they will focus on strength training the team since the team will have its own strength and conditioning coach.
-When speaking about the recruiting process, he mentioned that Vanderbilt is such a big draw as a school anyway and it speaks for itself along with Nashville being such a great city, he can see a lot of players being drawn to this.
-Someone asked how the coaches felt about the transfer portal and Anders said he is not a fan of it, but he understands why it is so popular with the additional covid year. He said he really values training a player and seeing their development throughout their 4 years vs bringing in a transfer.
-Someone asked how he felt about the club/travel scene in Nashville and he said that he was not aware of all the clubs just in Middle Tennessee and he hopes that the next Logan Eggleston will come out of another local volleyball club and decide to come to Vanderbilt since it is now an option.
-Finally, someone asked what his goals were for the team starting in 2025 and he said that the first year he wants the team to finish in the top 10 of the SEC and within 3 years he wants to be in the national championship.
Overall, it was a very nice event not a huge crowd maybe 30-40 of us.
Also, it was said that there have been whispers and rumors of a PVF team coming to Nashville in 2025.

Anders ur the goat but thats awfully ambitious lol

Wow winning a championship in just a few years of existence would be wild. But having potentially a majority of your roster for 4 straight years is a unique situation, who knows. The first goal sounds much more achievable though.

We were watching the Arkansas and Georgia game, and she was one of the few people in the room who picked Georgia to win. She also said she will be the offensive coordinator for the team once the season starts.
