The likelihood of Fox apologizing for their disingenuous coverage of Trump's post-2020 election shenanigans is about the same as the likelihood of hoolie admitting he was wrong. Neither will ever happen. I wonder if CNN will apologize for pushing the lie of Trump being a Russian Agent? Oh well...their punishment obviously is Don Lemon. The CNN apology should read: We are sorry we accused Donald Trump of being a Russian agent. This was poor reporting when it is clear a deeper investigation would have shown Mr. Trump is owned by Mohammad bin Salman al Saud. We regret our error. |

Extremely valid point. I am surprised, though, with the level of cynicism you often display, that you, carte blanche take Lemon's apology as sincere. I’m not a particularly cynical person. At any rate, is there a reason to believe his apology was not sincere? He is not a stupid man, I believe he knew he had crossed a line. But is the quality of his apology really germane to the discussion? I doubt his sincerity only because at whom the original comment was leveled at and it was only mentioned because I take you to be someone who wouldn't see the apology as sincere. It surprised me that you did. If the situation was reversed and it was Tucker would you accept his on air or off air apology? Not a gotcha question, just wondering. |

If the government is going to make that material available to the media, they should make it available to all the media.
It's at least borderline illegal for someone in the government to just hand material like that over to a single media outlet. Those recordings are not McCarthy's property. They belong to the United States.
