Sorry, a little bit out of the loop but did Mullen commit? The best place to monitor the 2025 commitments is the 2025 NCAA D1 Indoor Commits thread. huskervolleyfan14 regularly updates the first post of that thread with any new action.

Huge pick you for the Badgers!!!! Landed one of the top MBs in the nation for the 2026 class. I’m surprised you didn’t edit or someone corrected you that Wardlow is a 2025 verbal commitment.

Sorry, simply not true…but you know that… I’ll take her word over the offer over your word. If true, her path to playing right away, is definitely easier at Wisconsin in 2025. Only Booth and the international middle of 2024. But the portal is always a plus or minus every year.

Sorry, simply not true…but you know that… Even if you don't take huskerjen's word on this (and you should) simple math should tell you that it is true. To put it another way, what do you think the chances are that Nebraska carries 5 middles on the roster in '25?

To put it another way, what do you think the chances are that Nebraska carries 5 middles on the roster in '25? Just based on what history tells us, the portal tells us, and what the current roster situation is, I believe it is hard argue that all 4 middles you cite will still be at Nebraska in the fall of 25’. Based on today, Allick and Jackson are going to play MB for the next 3 years (unless Ames comes in and is better). Contrary to some here, imo, Mendleson is the odd one out. Jackson arrived on campus in Jan and I believe it is hard to argue that by the end of the Brazil 🇧🇷 trip she was not ahead of Mendleson (she certainly got more playing time and had more swings and blocks) And now while Mendelson switches over to train with the basketball team for the summer, Jackson will continue in the gym training to be a volleyball player. Do you believe Mendelson is going to be content as a career backup?-because that’s where she stands today. Who do you think will show up in Aug more prepared to start at MB for this teami Mendleson or Jackson? Also, I wonder how many of you have watched Wardlow play? Arm-swing is similar to Schwarzenbach. I expect a middle is being pursued. We’ll see. 🏐

I expect a middle is being pursued. We’ll see. 🏐 So carry out your future scenario. Even if Mendelson jumps after the 2023 season, Nebraska has three scholarship middles which is adequate for numbers on a 12 scholarship roster. I say three middles, two setters, two ds/libero types and five pins equals 12. I think that is what JC prefers his positions makeup now, in an ideal world. Kind of like now. If not the portal is a give and take fluid mechanism. Plus a variable is NIL and apparently Leimbach has a scholarship for two years and Nebraska NIL for the equivalent other two years. I don’t think Nebraska, right now, redshirts unless necessitated by clear injury. If Leimbach has a legal deal, who potentially else on the present and future rosters has a similar agreement? I love Nebraska is doing what Texas did last year, imo. Fourteen definite scholarship type players and only 12 scholarships total though. No girls on academic scholarship or basketball scholarship. If Nebraska and Texas only want and will play the game, advantage Huskers and Longhorns. I don’t give a frick about the other schools and their feelings or their fans. I hope the Nebraska NIL becomes a difference-maker in football and volleyball. Sure to help other sports but my main focus is those two sports and probably help up to another five or so sports. Nebraska has some giving fans, plus big donors, but how much can you squeeze from a state of less than two million people?

I love how prevalent the clairvoyant community is on Volleytalk. So many gifted individuals with the ability to read minds and see the future! If some of you wouldn’t mind throwing some lucky lottery numbers my way, the DMs are open!! ☺️

Will all these players be on the team in '24, probably not but these players work very hard at playing the game they love and I will not be posting on a public BBS who I think will stay and who will go. What I do know is that sometime between now and the start of the 2025 season at least 5 players will have to be replaced none of which will be MB's.
