Sigler is incredibly dynamic, but she's undersized. I can't imagine she'd be Nebraska's top target, but they will have tons of scholarships to give out for the 2025 year as I don't think that any of huge, much-hyped 2021 "dream class" are eligible to take a 5th year in 2025 as none of them redshirted in 2021. That's Krause (OH), Batenhorst (OH), Launstein (OPP), Orr (S), Rodriguez (L). They'll likely pick up the best setter and opposite they can find in the 2025 class, and maybe persuade that big time instate backrow player to walkon (*cough* pay through NIL). IMO, Nebraska would probably be best served to sign just one 2025 OH that already has a high level of pass to hit skills and stop there on the scholarship allocation and reserve them to poach players in the portal. Given the new rules that not only allow but actively encourage the big time programs with NIL resources to roster stack, it would seem borderline coaching malpractice to actually sign 4+ freshmen in any given class unless they are all Megan Hodge or Carlini type players. Doesn’t change your post but Lauenstein dropped volleyball. No way the instate backrow goes to NU as a walk on. She will have her pick of schools.

If I had one scholarship to give in 2025 for an OH, I'd probably want Kaci Demaria. She's not a particularly heavy hitter among her peers, but adding more pop to the ball can come in time. IMO she's a more skilled OOS attacker than who we all know - M. Spears, and I think in today's game, attacking OOS is more important, and more impressive, than big bangers against poorly formed defenses, but, unfortunately, what usually gets circulated around the masses among the highlight reels are the in-system, big time attacks from big jumping hard hitting attackers with a lot of court to hit into. Agree on Demaria. She does everything well as a 6 rotation player.

Schools can effectively pay athletes now, scholarship allocation seem like a secondary concern. Akana and Caffey could have their pick of schools, didn't they walk on to Texas? I have no idea about her collegiate motivations, but I'm sure she grew up idolizing Nebraska volleyball, many of her friends will end up at school there, and it's close to home. I could easily see an instate player wanting to play at Nebraska, scholarship or no scholarship.

I could easily see an instate player wanting to play at Nebraska, scholarship or no scholarship. Akana was and is on scholarship at Texas. Caffey didn't have that many options because she didn't transfer until right before the start of the season. She earned some kind of graduate certification in her semester at Texas, as awarded on senior night. I have no idea how much that cost compared to regular tuition. Could have been the same. I seriously doubt she got some kind of NIL deal that paid all her costs. A good chance she got a deal that paid a lot of them, however, along with a living allowance stipend. Scholarships available is still an important metric. That said, I have no idea where this particular player from Nebraska ends up. There is an exaggeration on this forum regarding where we are with NIL in volleyball currently. It's ubiquitous, and it's going to get larger, but right now it's not this all powerful force it is in other sports, nor what it will be very soon.

Ive heard Sigler’s name thrown around in the 2025 class as well. Anyone know where some of these athletes are leaning? I think it was pretty well known early on that people like Jurevicous and Murray were Nebraska bound. Ik sigler likes Nebraska but idk if they are recruting her I heard Nebraska is looking at the 6'3 setter/RS from 1st alliance as well as the OH. Jaylen was on their court almost every match and showed up to some hs games as well I was told.

With Triple Crown going on and the contact date less than 4 months away, I was wondering who people think are some of the top ‘25 recruits on teams’ radars or if people have tea about where athletes think they might wanna go. I’ve heard Spears is a very physical OH and that she’s a Texas lean. Heard Mullen (RS) and Campbell Flynn (S) are high on Nebraska’s list. I heard they like Kelly Kinney (OH) too, anyone know anything about her? Then there’s the really good in-state libero recruit Keri Leimbach who I imagine is going to have a lot of interest from plenty of schools. Campbell Flynn will be an elite setter, moreso than she already is. Commanding with her sets, great location/tempo, and calm on the court. She pretty much makes the Legacy 16's team successful, outside of their somewhat terminal pins. Even her own hitters were not prepared for OOS middle forced sets that were still great hitable balls. Excited to see where she goes.

Well I know Orr definitely was hyped like she was God's third child (after Jesus and Carlini). That was funny.

I love Minnesota high school volleyball and I love Orr and Nebraska and whatever else, but I really never understood the Orr hype. Even at the high school level, Ashburn made her look silly when their high schools played each other. But, I think being 6' and very physical at a young age skews folks' minds, a la Haggerty sisters.

I think its okay to say she was really really good then got hurt and the next is still to be determined.

Leimbach and her teammate at MB had a ton of P5 coaches at their games this weekend at the NIT. My daughter played against their team and they were probably one of the best liberos and MBs in the 16s division at NIT. Sheffield, Busboom, Hambly, Oldenburg, K. Cook, Shondell, D. Hunt were all courtside for most of the game when my daughter played them along with a lot of other P5 schools. Their team finished top 5 in 16s Both are NTDP players and are top of class-level players in the 2025 class but don't get a lot of PR because they play for a smaller club. Natalie Wardlow is the middle you’re referring to.

Setter for Tribe 16s is really good Charlotte Glass is the young lady you are referring to. She is 6'1, phenominal, and a lefty that can attack at any given moment. She will go fast.
