No doubt our expectations of this team is too much. We not only lost our star and his sidekick(Galloway) but even those who took their places(Keoni and Louis);were not even expected to be more than serving subs this season. Louis came in very late. Keoni was probably barely on the “B” team. I think Cole Ottmar might have been ahead of Keoni but Cole bailed so Keoni got promoted. Kai Rodriguez never panned out. Kai Taylor is still wet behind the ears. Oguz has yet to find his groove. This team is /was not very deep. Had high hopes for the 3 HS AAs in Rodriguez, Yewchuk and Justin Todd but I guess they were not ready to contribute. Bottom line….we were counting on the seniors to get us thru. Two got hurt and another (Alaka’i) is still inconsistent. This is kinda the result……Jeckyll and Hyde. Yea I think it’s safe to say a National championship probably isn’t in the cards for the team without its full health starting roster and I think we just have to be ok with that and cheer them on through the rest of the season. If Hawaii doesn’t end up getting in, I’m hoping for a UCLA repeat tbh 🫣

Even with Hawaii having their full compliment of players, Keoni has played in far more matches, even in the front row.

Did Cole get more true OH time off the bench last season than Keoni? 🤔 I want to say that he did come in but I just don’t remember who got more total time on the court as a full time hitter and not a serving sub.

Keoni even played some A side around fall scrimmages. He has really stepped up his all around game this year and fans should be very proud of him.

The problem is that you are telling us to believe you, but you have not been here long so noone knows you & you don't have VT street cred. But you do not provide backup information to refute the claims and so that's why people react that way to you. You're saying the equivalent of "Trust me, bro"

Interesting that Hawaii's loss to UC San Diego did not hurt them in the AVCA Poll. They are still #5 in this week's poll. There was a shake up though in the Top 4 teams. UCLA is now #1, LBSU dropped one, is now #2, UC Irvine moved up 1 to #3, and GCU dropped one is now #4.
