In the NEWMAC, Springfield (1), Babson (2) and MIT (3) advance with 3-0 wins. Coast Guard Academy (4) over Clark (5) in 4.
On to Semifinals on Saturday. Springfield hosts CGA, Babson hosts MIT.

A quieter conference tournament night. No Top 100 matches.
Stevens Point and Platteville did not do themselves any favors losing in the conference quarters but I think
both should get pool C bids. Meanwhile Eau Claire and River Falls are now both very close to making that group of 21.
Looks like Springfield upgraded their video setup. The way too high, too far away camera was moved down to slightly less high and far away. And the unwatchable
fish bowl lens is gone. Good job.

All 70 of these schools are now considered "ranked" for the ranked W/L calculation, even if they might not be in the final poll done Sunday. We will see that poll after the fact. Instead of Hartwick at Fisher for the Empire 8 championship it will be Alfred at Keuka, very surprising. 20 wins for Keuka - tremendous season for an off the beaten path program and school.

Current 64 team projections through Nov 9 matches. Mostly projection (NCAA criteria) with my QWI data lightly included to get to who I think the pool C schools should be. On the 21 pool Cs below, the first 18 fell out easily. Franklin & Marshall, Eau Claire and Carthage were in a very close group of 6 with the next 3 being New Paltz, Coast Guard, and St. Benedict. I do not know who that 8th team in Region 8 is, but my best guess is Platteville. I think they hang out a while with only 2-4 against ranked opponents and block those other Region 8 teams... If that happens, it opens the door for some other regions.
