Do we know for sure he was cut? yes. Four players cut one month into school year. Kind of a bum move. Three were seniors Cutting 3 seniors is cold...

Who is blaming Tennant? I literally said if Nygaard saw these athletes as enough of an issue to cut them and it leads to success, MAYBE they played more of a factor in this USC down turn and it wasn’t JUST coaching. Reading comprehension is crucial people. If you had said "...we can possibly reason that player (recruiting and line up selection) may have had more to do with poor season performances than coaching (game day decisions)" that would make more sense to me, and I am assuming, also to volley6181. That is a lot of coaching staff responsibility. Most coaches would have looked at Tenant and considered him a long shot to lead a team to the playoffs. Nothing wrong with betting on a long shot but a program like USC should have had better plan B and C. The USC downturn started long before Tenant, and to be honest, before Nygard as well. The expectation was for him to turn it around and the results are not meeting most people's expectations.

The expectation was for him to turn it around and the results are not meeting most people's expectations. Understandable. I’m not here to cape for Nygaard, but I guess I just have issues with understanding where he takes blame for the current state of the program for all the poor seasons but the good season is considered a one off and not to be factored in as potential to do well? And you never really know when recruits end up not actually panning out. Was Mckibben supposed to be a counted on? No one WANTS to have lackluster setters on their roster, but sometimes you just lose recruiting battles and it compounds with “dud” recruits at very important positions.

Is haine injured or was he just beat out by reed? Haine got hurt in the match against Ball State last weekend. He was playing well prior to the injury. Might have been an ankle?

It was an ankle. He was on the bench tonight with his foot up. Not cleared to be back yet. looks like they needed him out there last night Yes, they very much did. They tried a few people at the OH2 spot and couldn't get any production. And didn't pass well enough to keep their middles involved. It was an ugly match. 53 combined service errors between the two teams....

Noah Roberts is listed as a redshirt this year and did not play at all last year per the USC website. I heard he was injured much of last year.
Anyone know his eligibility and why teh redshirt year? Seems strange to redshirt year 2.
Does the NCAA let you use a medical redshirt before you use your standard redshirt year?

What's been the feedback on Wes Smith so far this year? Haven't seen him play yet this year, but stats are OK
