Just an embarrassing performance against UCSD. USC passed bad as I have ever seen. Sloppy play and no discipline on the court. pretty tough to watch. Klein was a bright spot but he can’t do it all. Maybe USC should cool it with the self-congratulatory Instagram posts and get to work. But that comes from the top. Hopefully they can turn it around. They certainly have the players to do so |

As ugly as it gets. USC has ISSUES, starting with passing.
Wes Smith had a nice homecoming game, but wasn't the dominant force I expected, especially against a UCSD team that didn't seem that interested in slowing him down. I would have set him at least 10 more times during the 5-set match, if not more.

Very tough to win when your lib is this much of a serving target. I don't know much about the other libs/DS options on the roster (freshman Brad Pan appears to be the only other lib listed). From what I've seen, Reed would make a better passing lib if Haine stays healthy. Other people who know the roster better: what other alternatives are there? |

Decent bounce back by the Trojans in the rematch sweep of UCSB. Getting Riley Haine and Noah Roberts (finally) back in the rotation certainly helped. UCSD's RS being out with the flu was also a bonus. |
