Bruh what is this thread. Can we get a hard reset for the final? Lets talk volleyball.
Firstly, Paola Egonu. So much class. The serving, the spiking, she instantly made Vargas look second-best. Hard to forgive Mazzanti for robbing us of watching her for most of this tournament. Sylla also showed so much fight and leadership. Pietrini was immense. Then halfway thru set 3 happened.
Orro was really good as well until that point, then she was horrible.
Güneş was mostly bad for 3.5 sets. Not hobbling-after-KD Korea match bad but bad enough that i was wondering if Santa had the guts to throw in KtBW or Kalaç. But then she turned it around and redeemed herself.
Eda had an ok game. The best mb in that game was clearly Danesi.
Cansu using Hande more than Vargas was really baffling and Vargas couldnt get in a groove. But Hande kind of has to be there so that Karakurt can be. İlkin’s passing has been bad and she doesnt have enough range while Derya might have played herself off the NT in that one match. Santarelli should definitely consider Tuğba or even Şeyma for the qualifiers. Hande probably has the best spiking ability of the 3 but she is just clueless on recycling or scoring off the block.
When Vargas got going, Turkiye got going. When orro got bad, Turkiye’s block was suddenly able to slow down Egonu amd Pietrini and thats when some errors crept in.
Then in set 5 Italy folded so bloody bad.

lol right after i said netherlands have no chance against italy, poland, turkey, and serbia they look more than competent. They have a very nice block defense game and elite middles. Daalderop and Van Aalen are great too |
