I’m so confused: There’s no direct olympic berths gained from these Olympic qualification tournaments happening right now?

NED serving is breaking down the Czech team's passing, especially in that first set--something that DOM was not able to do at all (80-90% of DOM serves were going to the libero).

What I hate about this format is so many matches that are noncompetitive and/or inconsequential. It would have been much more enjoyable to just qualify the top 6 world ranked teams or so directly (they're going anyways) and have a final qualifier with teams ranked 7-24ish. No need to add more than that, but i guess they still could.

It promotes teams with enough depth that they can play subs to stay fresh for the few important matches.

Korea stinks...looks like they will be missing out on Paris. This will be the first time Korea is absent from the Olympics...in a long time. i think they've only missed Athens since like 1996 or 1992 were they in Beijing?

Top 2 from each pool get in Thanks, I guess my next reason for confusion would be: Why are powerhouses China and Serbia in these tournaments? What happened to them that they didn’t already qualify out of their zone or from another major tournament?

What happened to them that they didn’t already qualify out of their zone or from another major tournament? because we suck and are only #2 in our respective confederations
