Normally there is also the qualification to the Olympics through the World Cup. That used to be the first opportunity for teams to get their Olympic ticket, as the champion and runner-up get their ticket to the Olympics. And the 2024 VNL is the last and a major way for teams to affect their world ranking!

Well, that's just the details. Two top teams from each pool will qualify. And normally the World Cup is the first opportunity to get a ticket to the Olympics...except this year. So what I said is correct.

Howe and Ogoms provided nothing this match, and were overall more detrimental than helpful. Just bizzare decisions by Winzer, IMO.
