It’s gonna be messy There is a very real chance that DOM/NED/CAN need Serbia to win 3-0, 3-1, or 3-2 even over China in the last pool match, but at that point, Serbia would already be qualified….. if we try and win we will beat China. But if we are already qualified I could see us not caring….. the players already look exhausted and what would the world ranking points even do for us lol put you in a bad pool lol
best is to stay in #5 or #6, to be with france and the african team

DOM could lose an Olympic bid for losing to Czech And CAN could lose an Olympic bid for losing to DOM Canada is so far behind on points.
They would need Serbia to sweep, and they would need China/Netherlands/Dominican Republic to have 1 win 1 loss against each other.

Wow I kind of stopped following this tournament because I thought it was completely out of reach for Canada after the loss to the Dominican!

DOM could lose an Olympic bid for losing to Czech And CAN could lose an Olympic bid for losing to DOM Czechia is underrated af They went -12, -16, -23 against China and -13, -18, -21 against NED, but they did beat DOM and had a nice showing against SRB. Magda in a couple years.. that team keeps improving and they could be very dangerous. Right now they're just a little outmatched, but well coached.

Correction, "has the possibility" to beat China, not "will" beat China. Nothing is a guarantee.

1) very happy to have won. 2) i wish we couldve closed either DR or China in 4. A win is a win, but for qualification how you win basically matters just as much. All things considered, being 2-2 while playing the 4 highest ranked opps is really good for this canada team

Good news for Canada - DOM/NED/CHN going 1-1 against each other isn't that unrealistic of a scenario. I think most simply: SRB finishes above Canada with any 3-0 win the rest of the way, Serbia needs just one more win and 3 total points to 100% be above Canada (DOM/NED/CHN) DOM goes 3-0 or 3-1 in two wins and they are 100% above Canada (SRB/CHN/NED) NED goes 3-1 and 3-2 in two wins and they are 100% above Canada (CHN/SRB/DOM) CHN goes 3-1 and 3-2 in two wins and they are 100% above Canada (NED/DOM/SRB) Alternatively, you can make any of those 3-1 or 3-0 wins for DOM/NED/CHN a 3-2 win, and if their one loss is 2-3, that would also be good enough to get them to 15 points (which is what they must need to 100% guarantee themselves above Canada)

There's been SIX 5-set matches this entire tournament so far across the three pools and 24 teams, with Canada playing in THREE, and Dominicana playing in two.
