So actually, us Canada fans should be rooting as hard as possible for the Dutch to get beaten 3-0 in their next two matches and have an awful VNL. They'll have to clear that 40 point gap to qualify.

Canada's best case scenario is that Serbia and China still qualify. It would then be a preference between DR and Netherlands in the last match who they would like to win. If Canada thinks they have a better chance of jumping DR, they'd prefer a Netherlands win. If they think they can jump Netherlands, then root for DR. But Canada shouldn't want either DR or Netherlands to qualify directly.

No, best case is Serbia win against China and Dutch (any score), China wins against DR 3-0 (ideally, beaten very badly)
DR beats Dutch 3-2
Then canada has a chance with point ratio, because wins, points, and set ratio will be tied.

there are only like 2 or 3 good teams nowadays? Well, yes. It's been like that since 2021, IMO. It's similar to the WTA, where except for Swiontek and few others, inconsistency reigns. WEAK ERA. Well at least it’s producing some potentially dramatic scenarios in this tournament lol

8-6 China at the switch. Also, a live look at Canada after what's transpired the past 12 hours I feel like that! I am not sure I can actually watch more volleyball at this point. It is just to 🤯 for me!

Hypothetical: Say: DOM&NED both beat CHN/SRB 3-0/3-1 tomorrow A 5-setter between Dominican Republic and Netherlands on the final day of pool play would qualify BOTH teams through - regardless of who wins. Why is there not a thumbs down option?! Stop! You are giving me my worst nightmare scenarios! Germany almost over Poland, now this... 😜 I have to keep a sliver of hope alive for Canada and the FIVB coach of the year coach with the topknot of the year.

Then at least we'd have a couple of Canadian beach teams to support! I can't take the constant chaos!
