Ngl watching this PSU team play this badly is making me happy. Like they really thought they did sum by throwing a bunch of random mediocre transfers on the court I said this before, just because mediocre players from different teams all transferred to one team doesn't make the team elite |

Like they really thought they did sum by throwing a bunch of random mediocre transfers on the court KSC really thought her “coaching” starts in the portal and ends when she turns in her line up sheet Work needs to be done honey Haven’t followed PSU for a while but how is their recruiting situation (not transfers but those from fresh high school)? Is it harder to compete now with Nebraska, Stanford, Texas, Minnesota and Wisconsin getting all the top ones? Is this the effect of Russ Rose retirement? |

I get this text from a friend today: "Thought of you - volleyball is on ESPN before the basketball game so I'm watching it  . all seems very intense" I was driving at the time so I asked who was playing. I get this response: "Penn State and Louisville. Penn State not doing so well.... I didn't realize they have to win multiple games! So they're doing pretty bad actually" Penn State has people that don't even know volleyball feeling bad for them....  |

This game was before WNBA again this week (last time/last week? volleybal outperformed WNBA)... hopefully that can continue..

Their recruiting def is not on the same level as it used to be and certainly not at the level of the schools you mentioned. Like they have a good setter and libero coming in next year (I think?) that played for USA this summer and maybe a couple other pieces but gone are the days of landing the Haleigh Washingtons and Simone Lees of the prep volleyball world for sure |

Im shocked, I thought it would've been at least competitive... How did Penn State look this bad... I mean given both hit under .200 but still like ... A combo of bad passing, Podraza not connecting with hitters, and lack of making adjustments throughout the game |

If anyone was curious, Penn State’s starting outsides since 2017: 2017: Lee/Frantti 2018: Reed/Leath 2019: Gorrell/Cathey 2020: ACF/Kudryashova 2021: Pritchard/Rollins 2022: Kash/Markley 2023: Mruzik/  ? We cannot recruit pins, and haven’t recruited an outstanding one out of HS since Parker, but Parker was largely a disappointment after her first year, probably because our outsides were not good. The lack of continuity is just evidence of what a bad job we have done at securing HS talent, going back to RR final years. |

so I'm just getting around to actually watching this match.... look if Podraza doesn't clean up those tight sets, the way Hannah and Mruzik approach into the ball, someone is going to get injured this season playing Penn State - I'm calling it now.
