Stanford 3-1 You don’t win matches like this with a mediocre setter…

Louisville just took apart Kentucky. Stanford will need to be at the top of their game to beat them.

Luper and Debeer are fantastic players and very smart hitters, but I think Stanford’s size might win this one.

Stanford 3-1 You don’t win matches like this with a mediocre setter… Louisville has been dismantling opposing teams just like Nebraska has. It’s gonna be tough.

Yes, after watching the Lou/Ken match, Louisville is better than i thought-better than they were against Penn St. The problem is Stanford is better in 4 of the six positions on the court in every rotation. Louisville’s floor defense is better… should be a good match.🍿 I think if Stanford has any real hope to host a regional they may need this Match.. 🏐

After the loss to Florida Stanford went on the road and looked like the hornets nest had been kicked and took it to the teams in Texas so I will be hoping for a similar result. The key to Stanford IMO is being tough on serve. They can’t let Scott have as many serve receives as Rodriguez did. Stanford had their best success when Choboy or Murray received. Not to criticize those players, but there’s a drop off. Should be an interesting match. I think Stanford's defense (serving is part of defense--it's like a pass rush in football) remains a question mark. Stanford let Nebraska hit .333 against them, and while Nebraska's offense looks much improved, they're still not exactly 2008 Penn State in terms of firepower. It's still fairly early, and Stanford has played a difficult schedule, but opponents are currently hitting .210 against them. That likely isn't good enough.

Louisville is tough. I'm hoping they struggle with Stanfords block which is much better than Kentucky's.

Louisville is tough. I'm hoping they struggle with Stanfords block which is much better than Kentucky's. Stanford needs to feed Kipp a lot so she can eat line against the Luper/DeBeer block. Stanford will have a tough time stopping DeBeer as she is that good. She is very savvy veteran attacker who gets her kills by using the block either tooling, high hands, going around, etc. I hope Rubin is paying attention because she'll need to do the same thing especially if she is up against Aiko Jones, the Jamaican wall. I shouldn't have to mention this, but Stanford needs to avoid serving to and hitting at Scott. I know, "the hitting at" part is tough. The other things that Stanford needs to clean up from the Nebraska match are the nets, overpasses, and hitting long or wide on open looks (one blocker or less).

I can't choose who I want to win I just hope its competitive This is a head (Stanford) vs heart (Louisville) situation for me. I had the same situation yesterday (Minnesota-Creighton) and the heart won.

Louisville should get the win but I love watching Stanford play! Why “should” Louisville “get the win”? If you look 👀 at the rosters, Stanford has better players. They have an elite setter and a national team quality OPP… ect… while I do believe Louisville has a clear coaching/staff advantage at the end of the day, it’s about the players on the court and Stanford’s are better. I would proffer that Stanford should win… but on paper they should have won Tuesday… so who knows?

Now that Texas has virtually no hope of hosting a regional, I can actively root against Stanford. Let’s go Luper and Co!
