Since the 2016 match has been posted, I'll point out that the 2014 match is also on YouTube.
To date, this is the best win in the history of the program. I would say the top five wins are:
1. 2014 Texas - defeated No. 2 overall seed Longhorns to advance to national championship match for first time in program history 2. 1993 UCLA - swept top-seeded Bruins in Los Angeles to advance to Final Four for first time in program history 3. 2018 Texas - swept No. 5 overall seed Longhorns to advance to third Final Four in the only Elite Eight match played at home 4. 2014 Nebraska - swept No. 14 overall seed Huskers to advance to second Final Four and first in over 20 years 5. 2018 Stanford - defeated No. 1 Cardinal, which propelled BYU to No. 1 in the polls a couple weeks later

the one person on BYU we know won’t be phased by Gregory is Hiapo lol Hiapo had better not disappear in Austin or the matches won't be close at all. Texas would sweep. BYU could lose any player on this team and still compete except, Hiapo! Livingston would hurt the 2nd most. Bower?!?

Big match-up here! I almost don’t want to see Texas leave the Big 12 since it seems strong this year but the SEC and money calls.

I wonder if there's a way to calculate the % of rallies won where texas has used the two handed push over the net, or the quality of their opponents first contact when they send them over. would be interesting to see those #'s. Kentucky seems to have caught the same bug :/

texas vs byu series...someone else might know of more match-ups before '08...i remember the '19, '18 & '16 match-ups the most...should be a great battle this week (x2) -2019 texas won 3-1 in wichita (tournament in wichita) -2018 byu won 3-1 in provo (elite eight) -2016 texas won 3-2 in austin (sweet sixteen) -2014 byu won 3-1 in okc (final four) -2008 texas won 3-0 in austin (mid-season game) *any memories of these match-ups 2018 my daughter and I were there. It was electric. BYU was behind in all 3 games. RJP was amazing in that match. Madi Robinson replaced injured McKenna Miller and she played great. Then, a week later, we stunk up the place. It was an embarrassing Final Four appearance. Yep it was a complete turnaround in performance when the opposing teams had time to scout Madi Robinson. She couldn't pass to save her life back then. She was not a good enough blocker either. More than a few people inside the BYU program still feel that there was a personality issue/conflict that kept the 6'4" OH Emily Lewis off the floor. She was a much bigger hitter/blocker than Robinson was. To this day, the decision to not allow Lewis to play is maybe the biggest factor in the huge embarrassment you are referring to in the final 4. Heather is still uncomfortable when people bring up the history of what went down in that final 4 performance. Just to make sure that no one got a good picture of what could have been, Lewis was kept off the floor the entire following year. I think she actually quit the team with eligibility remaining. Could be wrong on that .... but not on the final 4 situation.
