Hawaii fans have always claimed that they wanted stiffer competition in conference but that also comes with more losses. Rainbow fans should be grateful that the first year they may not make the NCAA tournament based on RPI that there is now a conference tournament. Still have a chance at the auto bid and the chance is really just as good as any of the other top teams. Well, UCSB might be the slight favorite but not by much in my eyes.

It’s not the losses but the way they’re losing- melting down late in sets, the inability to close out their opponents. The constant hitting and service errors. There’s 4 matches left in the season, they need to wake up! |

Whatever happened to "the buck stops here"? Who recruited these players? Who is motivating/coaching them? Ultimately the coach/coaching staff is responsible for the performance of the team.

They made over 60 errors in two matches combined. The coaches are not the ones playing out there. And then I read on this page by all the couch headcoaches how Rob needs to sub this girl out and then bench this girl and then change it to this line up and then that line up. And then when she makes changes when players don't perform...people on here question her subbing. It's beyond ridiculous. But I still believe in these girls and hope our Seniors can take the reigns and rally this team together. Go Bows! |

I agree that the coaching staff is partly responsible but they’re not the ones hitting and serving out and otherwise making dumb decisions on the court. |

If it's a one time thing then yeah. But we're seeing the same shaite over and over again this year. I think you even commented on that previously in one of your rants. Blame the players all you want but at some point you have to look at the coaching staff if the same problems aren't being corrected. This weekend was the kind of weekend that either breaks a team or refocuses them. I think they refocus. I think we can still win the BW tournament and make NCAA's though. Earlier in the year I was saying that this team shows flashes of brilliance so I still think they can get it together and pull it off. We'll see what Coach Rob and the staff do to turn things around. |

That is a fair point. I can accept that. This weekend was the kind of weekend that either breaks a team or refocuses them. I think they refocus. I think we can still win the BW tournament and make NCAA's though. I think that they will refocus too. Either way, adversity can make the entire team (coaches and players) better. |

Yes, I know. It's a bummer. The person i feel bad for the most is Amber. Same here. It's like everyone else on the team did not improve at all. I can't imagine how dominant she could be with a good setter. Yeah, especially Riley as she’s a senior and had 4 years to improve. She regressed if anything. Also a bit disappointed with Calen’s play as well the past two nights. She should be lighting it this point in the season. Sorry what exactly is Kaleo’s role again on the team besides looking like a pretty boy with a clipboard and always writing stuff down. Man how I wish we had coach Ang back. |
