Yes yes, and they played their four years withOUT a championship, but then were given another year, the bizarre Covid year… and yes they won… good job, but that title will always have a asterisk * on it… Rettke and Hilley would have never won without that bonus year… but you know that.. and now Haskell is back at it with his portal shenanigans… sorta funny, sorta sad. . . Just like 17034 is just a number, and 92003 is the record…. Maybe that’s why, Nebraska Volleyball is- 🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆 and Wisconsin Volleyball is- 🏆* sorry It takes a a special kind of insecure person to concoct a post like this. Bravo!

It's funny you bring up this point! As someone who is close to the Illinois coaching staff, I can confidently say our staff opts not to be super active in the transfer portal. Sure, if Booth wanted to come to Illinois, of course Tamas would take her...he's not a dumbass. But there's a reason our only transfer this year was Vanessa Pan, an ex-Ivy League player who played on a poor Columbia team. Our staff's philosophy is to develop the players we have and only dip into the portal when in dire need. And honestly, I think there's something to respect about that! I feel bad for the Wisconsin players riding the bench who won't see a lick of playing time because a bunch of transfers (whom are more talented!) took their spot, i.e. Ella Wrobel! Sadly, not using the transfer portal is just not successful in the Big Ten and I hope Illinois utilize the portal more in the coming year. There's no doubt both Wisconsin and Illinois are proven programs with a history of success, and there's also no denying that Wisconsin is finding more success by using the transfer portal. But that certainly doesn't mean we can't respect programs whom are less reliant on the portal this season. I promise you the vast majority of volleyball fans are rooting against Wisconsin this year, as they were Texas last year! The common theme of those teams? TRANSFER U!
Take a Tylenol, your brain is in pain.

Wrobel would play over TTA or Franklin if she were healthy? Give me a break. & you're telling me Sheffield would turn away either of them so that Wrobel could play? yeah right. The TTA that's currently hitting .207 for the season? Yeah, Wrobel would have a chance to beat her out if she was healthy. No, of course Sheff wouldn't turn away a top transfer, but Sheff WOULD give the recruits and the transfers equal chances to win the starting job. I don't know how things are run at Illinois, but at Wisconsin, starting jobs are won in practices and games , and not guarantees. A healthy Wrobel would be given the starting role if she can prove in practices she's better than the current version of TTA. Period. You trying to claim otherwise is plain ridiculousness with 0 evidence whatsoever. Especially if she could pass. I saw that as her way of getting into the squad preseason. But our past experience with bad backs means I am happy she is taking a year off. Need to get that fixed if possible and it takes time.

Please for the love of God stop trying to come up with excuses for why you are loaded with transfers LOL! Own it! It's a sign of a great program No one here is being defensive about UW being a place players like to transfer to. The problem is that you keep implying that is a bad thing because players that should be playing aren't because of it, or that promises to recruits aren't being held up, or that players aren't being developed. I don't think there is that much evidence for any of those statements, and lots of evidence against them. Illinois would not turn down TTA if there was a scholarship. UW had a scholarship.

Everyone should quit engaging with trollers whose main problem is their volleyball team probably was recently humiliated by the Wisconsin volleyball team!
