This was easier to predict a week ago, but Arizona has shown some end of the season fight. This is really a toss up now. Beavs do have better defense though, and that could possibly be the difference, especially if they slow the AZ pins.

I talked to Rita, Sofia and Joy Galles this week. They talked about how they're using the last few weeks of the season to prepare for next year. |

Close first set. Both teams with good numbers. AZ with some passing struggles for Oregon State to get a 3-0 scoring run, to go up 17-15. AZ t/o.

Beavs struggled a bit to close the set out, but finish it 25-22. Both teams had some hitting errors increase as the set progressed, but overall OSU had better ball control and were more efficient. Beavs led by Vernon with 7 kills.

Collapsing in this set by Beavs, hitting negative. Down 6-12.

Beavs right the ship, or should I say AZ collapse. Either way, OSU on a 6-0 scoring run by Suess, up 22-17. AZ passing woes of course.

Beavs take set 2, 25-18. Beavs led by Vernon with 9 kills. Neither team hit above .100 that set, but Beavs won it due to their stronger serving, and AZ poor passing.

Typical of Beavs. They do have struggles closing out sets, letting AZ go on a 4-0 scoring run off of Wray's serves. OSU trying to keep the lead, 23-22, t/o.

Very nice to see the Beavs to get the straight. No 2nd game do like we've been doing. Looking forward to seeing if we can keep it going on Sunday!
