Campbell (MB, Alabama) could be a nice pickup for someone. Her stats don’t pop off the page but she’s had some impressive games on a rather talent depleted team. Notably, 15 kills against Florida hitting .700

Do transfers need agents? With the amount of NIL money floating around, how difficult is it to convince a top-level player from a mid major, or even solid talent from a power 5 program, to transfer to one of the top 20-30 programs in the country? I do not think it could be that difficult.. “Hey, Mary this is Coach X. We’d love to have you come here in the spring. Scholarship? Sorry, but not in the spring but we can start you off with enough NIL connections to cover your tuition, housing, meals, and have plenty left over for that car you wanted.”

Tea from Washington thread is that Emoni Bush is going into the portal. Very impactful 3-rotation pin, coming off a redshirt injury year. woah Ashley Wang from Harvard will be a decent pickup too If a student athlete transfers from an Ivy League school would you think it’s about volleyball or academics?

Ivy League schools only allow you to be there for 4 years as an undergrad so all covid Freshman that went to Ivy League schools in 2020 will more than likely be looking at grad transferring if they would like to continue playing.

She’s getting her degree from Harvard and entered the portal so she can play at whatever school she gets into for grad school. (I imagine she’ll have choices.)

Kind of a bummer to see Rashinda Reed at Bama lose two starters (Campbell, Schmer) and her first defensive sub (Gholson) so quickly. Wells is out of eligibility, too. Will be a serious youth movement on the Capstone next year, it looks like. I guess Reaugh could come back?

Jacobs graduating early & in the portal to play her grad year elsewhere.

Bama will be really young (and tall) next year.
