Cameras were mounted on the floor in black boxes with SEC logo on them How can something mounted on the floor give the down ref a visual "up"? I don't know how the tech works, but if you look at the right sideline of each side of the court and follow the (imaginary) sideline to the folding chair or low bleacher section, you will see the black boxes for the sidelines. The box for the endline on the up-ref's right is placed near the team bench seats, and the box for the endline on the up ref's left is in front of the student section

I mean, I guess they could be relying only on the two cameras mounted on the pins. But, at one point, the replay folks were zipping through the replay showing the length of the court "up" in the air, not on the ground.

I can’t get the stats to pull up. Only 1st and 5th set. Actually that is the 4th and 5th set. After the 3rd set, all of the stats reset to zero. Don't know how you recall the stats from the first three sets or even if they were saved when the system reset.

So, any new insight as to who will get Carissa Barnes’ back row rotations? Brennan Ramirez...she came in before Reese did. Rella came in as a serving sub only...until the 5th set where she ran the offense.

It wasn't be televised or streamed, so there isn't a replay available. Well there is someone who screen recorded the entire stream from Andrea. I also screen recorded the 4th so I’ll go look at that user’s instagram because they said to message them if anyone wanted the screen recording. Their username is jdbdhshajs so if you send that person a dm they should send you the replay of the stream🤘🏽 it says i cant dm them unless they follow me😭

And, sounds/looks like Whitney is healthy and ready to contribute to start the season. That is great news based on her college experience as a starter at Nebraska.

True that she came in before Reese, however Reese wore the libero jersey while Brennan did not when given the chance. That being said I think the staff will try to play either Jenna or Whitney 6 rotations unless they get in passing trouble IMO.

The match wasn’t streamed through tv so take what you can get🙄

I have said in the past that I have no issues with constructive criticism of our players’ match performances. But, Wenaas continues to take the brunt of it from a few posters. It’s as if she is the only one who makes mistakes while everyone else plays flawless volleyball.
It does make me laugh that it’s all about front row attacking for some posters. For years Texas and Coach Elliott were criticized endlessly on this forum for signing super athletic pin hitters who could terminate but lacked sufficient ball control skills to help with serve receive. I do think Jenna is one of the better all-around pin hitters we’ve had at Texas and based on her playing time, our coaching staff agrees. Lauenstein will have to outplay-practice Wenaas in areas other than just front row attacking to unseat her.
