Didn’t she hit the first rotation front row to save one sub? yeah I think so lol like the half rotation if they weren’t serving but she’d start serving if Nebraska served first I think we could do something kinda similar if we don’t start with serve and have carlson front row and Rutherford back row for a half rotation (or Swindle front row, Devin back row, but I like Rutherford’s back row offense more for a side out and I’d rather start with carlson + her serve). Texas has the personnel to unroll the 6-2 at basically any time in a set. If that were the case some point, you’d want to stick with the Carlson/Rutherford combo to finish the set? Genuinely curious here because I’ve been a huge fan of the 6-2 so I don’t pay too close attention to what happens in extra points.

If we run out of subs, I assume we'd want Ella to stay in for the block

I think it depends truthfully. if Rutherford is hot and Swindle and/or Devin are having a shaky match, idk how you wouldn’t go with Carlson+Rutherford but I think my default would be Swindle/Devin. Swindle puts up a good block and Devin’s floor defense is solid. she can pass for Madi too.

Maybe double sub as tactic is better than a full time 6-2? But damn portal maybe need to make more players happy?

Also, not to be overlooked, Averi had twelve digs last night, which is amazing for a setter!

I don’t think this is a happiness thing. it’s a “we look a hot mess in a 5-1” thing bc our middles are struggling closing and are not where we need them offensively.

Well pitt is pin heavy in their approach and seem to be operating that way effectively. Really i think its Natty hang-over and pressure to three peat: as soon as they find a formula believe they will be ok. Constant fiddling will be there failure!

Stafford is a better blocker than Wenaas and maybe Madi too… plus they’re getting more out of their service pressure right now. we aren’t really apples to apples with them

As a rookie, she does get a lot of net violations. But the one thing standing out to me is the number of solo blocks she's had. Very good at that. When she went up for a solo, wife & I were thinking at the same time it reminded us of Brionne's solo block ability.

Not better blocker than Madi: but i would say that Fishers blocking scheme’s are better executed at this moment than JE’s. One team plAying with chip and one team playing with we are the world. Easier when you are the chip team: but lots of time to develop: When you have athlete’s texas has they only have to be great for 6 matches depending on seeds: last year texas has to thank Tennessee for not being able to finish so we could see Texas at there best. Will be watching for the moment they get to high gear. Just dont be to wishy washy with plan for to long! 6 weeks with one plan: so plenty time to experiment. Hope bevo fans allow some ug while they develop
