volleyballmag.com/post-ncaa-volleyball-selection-show-zoom-112623/Lee Feinswog and Emily Ehman's Zoom with the committee chair: "They (Kansas State) have some RPI/KPI losses that are over 100 and that's really hard to justify when you're literally splitting hairs" She wasn't aware of an Arizona State facility issue. But maybe it just never came up because they never had them in the Top 16. "In the SFA instance, they've got 29 wins. Sometimes it comes down to did you take care of business against the teams you're supposed to win against. And winning is really hard." An ASU facility issue regarding what?

There was a whole VolleyTalk thread about how ASU has two arenas and both were in use by ASU women's basketball and by the Arizona Coyotes all weekend. So they weren't sure if they could host even if they WERE seeded in the Top 16.

Ahh, like the Louisville situation in the past couple years and didn't San Diego have to shuffle some basketball games last year too?

I very much prefer the new way, as it lines up with how both of the NCAA Basketball Tourneys are run. In theory the new way is better... when teams are actually seeded 1-8 appropriately. It sounds like the teams are seeded 1-32 like the old way as the starting point, and that dictates how they seed the regions. Whoever gets the #8 in Nebraska’s region is the #32 overall seed, as an example.

With this logic, Im surprised they liked Minnesota (I guess maybe brand bias?) and didnt like WKU (for better than a 6 seed)

1 significant win. And two significant losses. One loss to the RPI 200 team of Rutgers. RPI of 40. KPI of 54. There’s plenty in the primary criteria to exclude Minnie. There's plenty more to include them, but Fight On, lol Spell it out, then. I live in Minnie and support the Gophs as my #2. I am glad they got in but it’s not like they earned it per the criteria vis-a-vis other candidates.

I guess I’m a little confused.

Coach Tamas needs to give a gaslighting presentation/panel at the AVCA Convention this year. They scored FORTY-SIX points against Northwestern last night, had one win over a tourney team against seven losses to non-tourney teams, and he has the cojones to grandstand. And the man is getting paid $400K to miss the tourney for the third time in four seasons and somehow has his admin and fanbase convinced they did a good coaching job this year.

Can someone explain how Skylar Fields is playing the Automatic Qualifier out of the America East (UMBC) and the University of Texas-Austin is playing an SEC at-large team (Texas A&M) Anytime Madden said something particularly shady about Nebraska this week to me, I marked a check and warned him there would be consequences: 1. Louisville rematch for Pitt in elite 8 2. Washington State for Pitt sweet 16 3. USC for Pitt in round of 32 4. USC first round cupcake to ensure they reach second round He brought this on himself. but, Kentucky did get Wofford...

I guess I’m a little confused. I dont see how im being a hater? K-State and Minnesota had similar profiles. K-State was 3-3 vs top 25, Minnesota was 1-10. K State was 6-6 vs the top 50, Minnesota was 3-10. Both had a top 10 win. Both had two bad losses. I wouldnt want to play KState either lol
