Coach Tamas needs to give a gaslighting presentation/panel at the AVCA Convention this year. They scored FORTY-SIX points against Northwestern last night, had one win over a tourney team against seven losses to non-tourney teams, and he has the cojones to grandstand. And the man is getting paid $400K to miss the tourney for the third time in four seasons and somehow has his admin and fanbase convinced they did a good coaching job this year. He never said he belonged in the tourney. And here's the thing. If you use a GOOD computer model, then I'm all about using computer placement. If you use RPI (and I don't know the details about KPI but so far I'm not sure it's better), then going by the computer numbers is bad. Not to mention that teams can GAME RPI - and not only that, but talk openly about it. It's stupid - it's about how you put together your schedule as opposed to how you actually play. So in that sense, Tamas is completely correct. It doesn't change the fact that his team doesn't deserve to be anywhere the tournament this year, though.

A lot of MN haters, but I have also seen many posters saying they don’t want MN in their regional??? I guess I’m a little confused. I dont see how im being a hater? K-State and Minnesota had similar profiles. K-State was 3-3 vs top 25, Minnesota was 1-10. K State was 6-6 vs the top 50, Minnesota was 3-10. Both had a top 10 win. Both had two bad losses. I wouldnt want to play KState either lol was minnys profile really that bad ? Jfc if they didn’t beat Oregon then…

Neither IL nor IN were on the list of 8 teams that were under consideration but did not get in. IL and IN are both better than those teams and the last 4 that did get in. Tamas should seek a new job in the Big12 or SEC to improve his chances of making the NCAA Tournament. There should have been more than 5 B1G teams make the tournament.

He went 0-2 against bottom barrel Big 12 teams this year. He also lost to the ACC cellar dwellars. I don't think he wants the heat from the SEC.

The middle and bottom of the big ten was abysmal this year

Not how they were playing at tbe end of the season.

Spell it out, then. I live in Minnie and support the Gophs as my #2. I am glad they got in but it’s not like they earned it per the criteria vis-a-vis other candidates. They clearly did, but your opinion is again noted. Fight off. Classic. No facts. I am happy to entertain your perspective but you don’t have one apparently. You just want to be rude.

The middle and bottom of the big ten was abysmal this year I don't think the B1G deserved more than 5. And even if they had been in consideration, Illinois and Indiana both didn't finish well enough to be considered. But the B1G overall is a lot better than their RPI. The league in general scheduled really badly in terms of boosting their RPI, and if the committee is going to adhere to that f*!#ing terrible metric as slavishly as they did, you have to schedule to boost your RPI. Which, the fact that it is even possible to do so tells you how bad RPI is.
