I don't think any harm was intended, I mean it's a known fact that Minnesota doesn't set their middles that often, so why would you want to move from being a productive opposite to just jumping up and down a lot? (No shade intended) Minnesota fans know. I’m just catching strays left and right from fans whose seasons have already ended. My apologies for the shade earlier.

It might be my mistake. Someone help me out here. It is a combined family due to a family tragedy so that could be it. I don't think it has anything to do with the tragedy involving their aunt. I think it's simply that Samanta chose (or it was chosen for her) to use her mother's hyphenated name and the younger ones only use their father's name. Not really much more to it than that, and probably not really worth speculation beyond it. No. Sam doesn’t have the same bio father as the twins. She had her mother’s last name and was adopted by Mr Swenson. Then she hyphenated her last name.

I remember seeing this at one point, but I can't find it and I've spent the last 30 minutes googling it. I believe it was to honor her mother who was a volleyball player as well. No.

Ah I hope that Julia Hanson isn't leaving the team but best of luck to her if she does! Many teams will be lucky to have her. Landfairs 👎 comment isn’t reassuring. I think she’s gone..

If anyone is transferring out this year it honestly should be Julia. She’s a really great player I’ve always wanted to see her as a starter but it just seems like she’s always gonna be on the outside looking in. If she does transfer what a huge pick up for whoever gets her and I hope she finds a good fit

Yes by the looks of Julia’s Instagram comments she is not staying. I get it. Minnesota is loaded with OH. Also could it be a possibility that there is not a scholarship available for her. She should go across the river and dominate at St. Thomas. Can’t see that happening since they are not eligible for post season. That is my dream someday to have the Minnesota transfers go there.

Is it possible Cook is pulling scholarships from non-starters? I feel like this will be his first true off-season to start to rebuild it into his program, and wouldn’t be shocked to see some players leave. Last season, he didn’t have much of an opportunity between moving, press conferences, etc. excited to see what he can do.

Is Schnichels expected to slide into the starting OPP position with Grote gone?

Is Schnichels expected to slide into the starting OPP position with Grote gone? I think Grote is coming back next season.

That makes Hanson’s transfer (if true) make more sense if there are no open pin positions next year

To be clear (again) the comments on Julia’s post have more to do with the Grad Assistant leaving in the post not Julia or anyone else leaving. Not sure anyone would tag Minn Volleyball with a I’m outta here message.
