I don't think it has anything to do with the tragedy involving their aunt. I think it's simply that Samanta chose (or it was chosen for her) to use her mother's hyphenated name and the younger ones only use their father's name. Not really much more to it than that, and probably not really worth speculation beyond it. No. Sam doesn’t have the same bio father as the twins. She had her mother’s last name and was adopted by Mr Swenson. Then she hyphenated her last name. Ah, I did not know that. It's not mentioned anywhere, anyway I'll shut up, I don't know anything about them outside of volleyball. |

Morris from K state is supposedly hitting the portal. She'd be a fantastic libero pick up. I'm thinking Z might DS again if MN could snag a good libero like that for next season

Yes by the looks of Julia’s Instagram comments she is not staying. I get it. Minnesota is loaded with OH. Also could it be a possibility that there is not a scholarship available for her. She should go across the river and dominate at St. Thomas. Can’t see that happening since they are not eligible for post season. That is my dream someday to have the Minnesota transfers go there. To be clear (again) the comments on Julia’s post have more to do with the Grad Assistant leaving in the post not Julia or anyone else leaving. Not sure anyone would tag Minn Volleyball with a I’m outta here message. If she's leaving on good terms, which she would as I think she's just looking for more playing time, then why not say goodbye Gopher nation and tag Gophervball? I dont think that's an indicator as some people think. She's also waving in the picture so that makes me also think she's out of here. We'll find out soon enough... |

Hanson's post could literally mean anything... It's so cryptic. One thing I would bet on is that whatever it is, it's not because of anything nefarious like pulling scholarships and it's on good terms with her teammates, the program and the coaches. She tagged Gopher volleyball, uses the "i love you" hand signal thing and her teammates are sharing it. I hope she stays but I'm not going to jump to any conclusions.

Is it possible Cook is pulling scholarships from non-starters? I feel like this will be his first true off-season to start to rebuild it into his program, and wouldn’t be shocked to see some players leave. Last season, he didn’t have much of an opportunity between moving, press conferences, etc. excited to see what he can do. No I think you might want to slow down with your many theories a bit lol  Cook would never do that. |

Minnesota should find a way to pick up the Fresno State libero. Dinkytown and Fresno both had shootings in the past couple days; she would feel right at home. STFU |

I don't think Crowl will see the court next year, as SS will get some PT. Will be interesting to see how what position Olivia Swenson plays. |

Julia Hanson leaving would stink because I like her, but I think if a few of our players who do not see the court and are on scholarship would transfer out, it wouldn't be the worst thing for us. Getting some fresh energy and talent in is needed. I just look at ASU and their success after replacing nearly the entire roster. We need some backcourt strength, our middle game has been sus for a few seasons now (I miss you Pittman and Morgan), and Landfair and Wuch both had some significant challenges this season.

Crowl has always given me mean girl energy...and I can corroborate from people who know her from HS and beyond that I am indeed correct in these feelings and I would love to see her leave. Especially if she is on schollie Jesus. |
