Was just coming here to post this. Gotta keep cheering for Auburn! Heck even Texas can keep winning at this point! I always enjoy watching Texas haha. They had me scared tonight. I’ve definitely been hoping TCU and Baylor have good seasons too. Don’t want them to flop and make our losses to them look “bad” Baylor beat ASU tonight in 4 😊

Auburn just reverse swept #12 Kentucky! RPI gold mine Yes, was watching those scores come in, while watching Nebraska vs. UCLA. Gophers still at 17 in RPI, but we have bonus point wins over the current 8, 10 and 11 teams.

I think Emily said something about increasing set distance from the net to give the pins more space. We have the athletic ability. I rewatched Minatee touch the sky on a late slide. Wow. Watching Sarah F. terminate almost at will from anywhere on the court might encourage Shaff to go higher and further back because our pins can get the job done more than 3' feet from the net. Rewatching the match this morning and I think the other commentator said Shaffmaster adjusted to set Grote and company 5 feet off, rather than 3, to let them work around the big Wisconsin block.

Encouraging Signs 1. Massey Figstats Pablo RPI...it's just a ball of confusion RPI system alive and well in college volleyball
you get punished for scheduling cupcakes in the non-conf you get punished for losing in the non-conf when you are experimenting with lineups because RPI counts the non conf matches even though flawed by not factoring good road wins or very close losses (like 3 of 4 5 setters that turned on 2 pts) the selection committee routinely? overweights RPI, so We love seeing Auburn win, & Baylor etc. 2. I surfed away from NEB vs UCLA mid set3 when the match looked over set 3: Neb 2, UCLA 0 UCLA NEB 14 22 [Leverette, Cheridyn] Kill by Beason, Merritt (from Reilly, Bergen). Nebr [Mauch, Olivia] Kill by Olson, Grayce (from Pak, Audrey). 15 22 UCLA [Lutz, Kat] Attack error by Murray, Harper (block by Olson, Grayce; Dodson, Anna). 16 22 UCLA [Lutz, Kat] Attack error by Beason, Merritt (from Reilly, Bergen). 17 22 UCLA [Lutz, Kat] Kill by Horne, Kiki (from Pak, Audrey). 18 22 UCLA [Lutz, Kat] Kill by Olson, Grayce (from Pak, Audrey). 19 22 UCLA [Lutz, Kat] Attack error by Murray, Harper (from Reilly, Bergen). 20 22 UCLA [Lutz, Kat] Attack error by Murray, Harper (block by Olson, Grayce; Dodson, Anna). 21 22 UCLA [Lutz, Kat] Attack error by Beason, Merritt (block by Horne, Kiki; Dodson, Anna). 22 22 UCLA [Lutz, Kat] Attack error by Beason, Merritt (block by Horne, Kiki; Dodson, Anna). 23 22 UCLA [Lutz, Kat] Attack error by Beason, Merritt (from Reilly, Bergen). 24 22 UCLA 24 23 [Lutz, Kat] Service error. Nebr [Rodriguez, Lexi] Kill by Olson, Grayce (from Pak, Audrey). 25 23
Nebraska was passing well almost every time but UCLA block touches and floor defense was a lot like the Gophers vs Badgers in the good stretches. You cannot win a point if you commit a SE... UCLA's Lutz didn't SE until her 10th! Even a Final 4 candidate can be dominated with stellar play and have trouble closing out a pesky opponent. 3. TayLa saw court time and a very fluid swing 13 1 29 0.414. She's played but 17 of Neb's 41 sets, but that will surely change. I'm happy she's gone and happy she's back in form.

Happy she’s gone & happy she’s back in form is a perfect way to put it. Hope she continues to do well (not against us though)

Looks like Crosson the ‘26 OH recruit is on campus. I wonder who else is there tonight! I was wondering if any out of state recruits/commits would be at the border battle match but then remembered duh Wednesday during the school year makes that nearly impossible. I hope some of the alum are still in town for this one. Imagine being a recruit and seeing the Pav on game day, meeting the current team AND Gibbemeyer, Santana, Wilhite, Hart and Murr. There was some Gopher royalty at the Pav on Wednesday! It was nice to see Airi the Olympian already up on the wall. Aside: pavsec5row10 was it you that noticed the missing final 4 banner and posted a picture about it? Did that get fixed yet?

That was gross, and those weren’t Stanford serves. Hoping Z can command the backrow better as the season goes along, all 3 outsides need an absurd amount of reps in practice.

Roughest match I’ve seen by farrrr. It’s amazing how we got to 5 sets. However, I’m glad we got to see the mistakes now rather than later. Lots of serve receive coming into practice for sure. It’s still early on in conference play, I’d rather the gophers mess up and figure it out asap. You can tell who the gophers wanted to beat badly in comparison to others…. lol. Overall still can’t be too upset with how the ladies fought back with grit. Excited to see them start playing these new B10 teams. Hopefully they’ll be well rested for the time change and get lots of practice in! Go gophs!

To all you stat fans...Can someone post Colvin's individual stats vs Minnesota for all 5 years?
This coaching staff knows what they have to do moving forward starting next season. We need experienced DS players from the portal that can SR. It is no hidden secret. I know many fans talk about Garr, but she is not a proven player and I really have no idea, as a Freshman, if she can be depended on in that area of the game.
