Did the team fly there yesterday, on the same day as the match, to save money? That makes it harder to win. I might be wrong, but I thought I heard it mentioned somewhere that they flew there Friday. They were talking about all the social media posts from the team in LA. Flying commercial to boot, I assume?

Planes are dry and they only pressurize the cabin to 0.65 atmospheres (saves on wear and tear on the plane).
Point is, being on a plane affects your body. You will not perform at peak the same day as a 3-4hr flight.

We are definitely the most battle-tested 5 setter team in the nation right now lol. Good thing is USC also went to 5 with Michigan today. Both teams are exhausted for tmr! Hawaii says hi. Oh yes that’s true! Glad they won last night though.

Going 5 against every single P4 opponent except for Auburn who has been our RPI treasure chest I wonder if there's a record for 5-set matches in a season?

They were talking about all the social media posts from the team in LA. In the latest video taking questions from the press, Keegan said something about getting to LA Friday morning. I’m very glad they didn’t fly same day haha. He must have misspoke or meant practicing Friday morning in LA Hope Julia is feeling better today but also hope she doesn’t play at all if that’s what she needs. She had some impressive digs yesterday despite obviously not feeling well. Gotta hand it to her. Left it all on the court even while sick.

I know some will disagree with me but I'd rate Keegan's coaching so far as a solid A. Good luck guessing what the next line up will be... I agree. Last season the complaint was not utilizing the depth on the pins like he should’ve, now the complaint is he’s using TOO much depth… I like that he’s playing with lineups and the pins, slotting players where he needs them and using players individual strengths. Makes for a really hard team to scout and a bench that’s ready to go at any point in time if someone is struggling or an adjustment is needed. They don’t need to be at their peak right now, come tourney time that development in trust and communication will be very beneficial. I also wish I could Frankenstein Crowl and Grote together to make a super Opp - Crowl’s defense + Grote’s offense = FrankenGrowl

There can be more than one legend. Heck… SSS and Lindsey Berg are both unquestionably MN VB setter legends.

SSS and Lindsey Berg are both unquestionably MN VB setter legends. Sure, of course And Shaffmaster is not in their class, when it comes to, you know, setting the ball. She's good or great at everything else.
She does good backsets. I've always given her that, as is due. Don't know any other setter who sets lights out back, but is just average forward, and well below average straight up.

So how must Gray feel to not be seeing the court during this dark time for the Gophers back court? Maybe she was in briefly for Purdue but nothing consistent that I recall.
