First match of year where we were not competitive MIA Tuaniga was never not in control Second set might be worth a closer inspection Did we have a part in USCs poor H%? USC played like a contender for top 4 in B1G with NEB PSU WI
Purdue doesn’t have USCs firepower without better serve reception Havent seen enough of ILL or ORE to know if we are right beneath this group or not

Oregon has its ups and downs right now.

I hope we all don’t freak out because of this USC match coz we tend to do that. Massey gave us like 45% chance of beating them at their home and that’s before all the injury and sickness that has happened. Even with this loss, our ranking in Figstats and Massey barely moved. It turns out that USC has a higher ranking than us in both.
Our schedule will get a bit lighter in the coming weeks and that will give the young ladies some breathing room to get better and most importantly rest and heal.

I don't have a good feeling about Wucherer being back anytime soon.
"Back" injury? If that's indeed what it is, I feel like with young athletes these torso-type injuries just seem to linger.

Rewind a couple weeks and most fans would've been happy starting the Big Ten 2-2.
They need to regroup and get healthy, long season still ahead.

Where's she at when it comes to the medical redshirt calculation? I was wondering that too. Reminding me a lot of Landfair in fall of 2021. She played a little bit of B1G season then was done. She redshirted. That would certainly carry with it the possibility of upending a few things in regard to recruits if Wucherer were around two more years after this season.

Where's she at when it comes to the medical redshirt calculation? The numbers in the 2022-23 NCAA Handbook (that I had saved on my PC hard drive, so I didn't go looking for the newer version) say that a VB athlete can compete in no more than nine matches and still quality. She has competed in exactly nine. So I'm pretty sure she still could qualify, but she'd need to not play any more, at all.

No. The way they do it is they define a "denominator" for the number of contests for each sport - for VB it is 29. Multiply the denominator by 30% or 0.3, and then round up. That gets you 8.7, rounded up to 9.

So if we don't see Wucherer in the next week or two I think we know where this is going...

Well, so if we see Wucherer participate in a minimum of one more play, the redshirt is out of the question.
