There can be more than one legend. There certainly can, and there certainly are for the Gophers. And ... Shaff is not in that tier. She's been a solid setter, sure. But she is not a legend. I don't care how many assists were given to her by bookkeepers in 5 seasons (as opposed to 4).

I'm sure I will get yelled at for saying this; but, just my opinion I do not want to see a redshirt situation. We got some pins coming in that from the looks of it will be 6 rotation players. Next year we would have Wookie, Acevedo, Hanson, and Kinney. The following, if Wookie is still around you have to add in Crosson (dont think I spelled that right) I don't want to see either her or Kinney leave the program. Also, I don't think my heart can handle two more years of Wookie passing lol Also, I really hope Cook is not planning on redshirting Kinney next year....... This program needs a clean break from Hugh's triumvirate of highly rated recruits. One left already (and as far as I guess, adds very little to Nebraska, but haven't looked into it in the slightest), one graduates, and one is currently sitting on the bench, possibly due to injury but frankly it helps the team. I'd be just fine with her redshirting. That would give her two more seasons ...... to take with her to another program. Maybe that' Marquette back home, or maybe some other high level program.
Would like to see us focus on Hanson, Acevedo, and Grote the rest of the year, with Crowl and Schnichels as needed/beneficial.

The serving really has been great! We have the lowest opponent passing rating on this list. 1.89! Keeping teams out of system has really helped us dig and get opportunities for swings in transition. A strength we have needed for compensating for bad passing. http://instagram.com/p/DA80RYrSPa2 My thing is how do they have such good serving in the gym every day and such bad passing to go with it lol what about iron sharpening iron

We may need to get a new one 😳 Serve receive is more mental than technical. They know how to pass, problem is executing it in a match. What is it with sports fans...everyone just want to fire coaches all the time! lol

Over the years our savior has always been on the bench. If they would just put my favorite player in the game we would go undefeated. Every coach knows how to teach the correct way to play. The offence is designed to thwart defense which is designed to thwart offence. We pass bad because our players can't pass better. Our pins for the most part do not play good back row defense. Landfair plays better in Nebraska because she only plays backup and never plays backrow. Their coaching did not change her. They just have better players so they do not have to play her.

I agree with your take on Landfair. Yes as a result of being around this core of Nebraska athletes, her hitting % has also improved.

Maybe they give 100% on their serves everyday in practice and have figured out how to pass each other’s serves and are not used to everyone else’s weaker, more inferior serving in the NCAA. (Kidding)

She also has only really been playing against lesser teams when she does get to play. She’s not starting or playing against top ranked opponents.

I wonder when the last time all three pins hit north of .290 was. Happy to see a healthy Wucherer. 7 kills on only 17 swings is great. Only 2 errors. Phoebe had a season high 10 blocks. Wucherer’s block looked good too tonight and she contributed on defense in the back row as well. Calissa was on fire the second set and into the third for a bit. Go Gophs! http://instagram.com/p/DBAXoyntvSy

Of course you don't. That's just the empty soul of someone who has no loving connection with another human in real life, leaking out.
