I agree with your take on Landfair. Yes as a result of being around this core of Nebraska athletes , her hitting % has also improved. Well, that... and also that she's getting better sets. Uhhhh, Bergen hasn't been great with location this year, so I dont know that this is true.

Great all around performance by the Gophers tonight. Was awesome to see Wucherer have such a good return to the floor.
The passing was really good tonight and it wasn't as if Indiana was serving lollypops.
My only complaint was the early lack of tip coverage, but they seemed to clean that up fairly well.
P.S. Why the F is anybody talking about Nebraska players in this thread?

Over the years our savior has always been on the bench. If they would just put my favorite player in the game we would go undefeated. Every coach knows how to teach the correct way to play. The offence is designed to thwart defense which is designed to thwart offence. We pass bad because our players can't pass better. Our pins for the most part do not play good back row defense. Landfair plays better in Nebraska because she only plays backup and never plays backrow. Their coaching did not change her. They just have better players so they do not have to play her. I agree with your take on Landfair. Yes as a result of being around this core of Nebraska athletes, her hitting % has also improved. Maybe look at who Nebraska played when Landfair got in. She did not or rarely played when Nebraska played tough teams. Against Purdue last night she hit 0.125. Her high overall hitting percentage has been built against Texas A&M-Corpus Christie, The Citadel, Wichita State, and Montana St. She did have a very good match against UCLA. I don't think she has changed that much since leaving MN.

Bergen hasn't been great with location this year Based on what measure and statistics? The ones you made up, I would guess. I find it quite strange that passing (location) is graded, but setting (location) is not ....

Was awesome to see Wucherer have such a good return to the floor. Clearly will not be redshirt.
So she will only have one year to take with her elsewhere if she transfers.

Any talk of players transferring should cease…this group is bought in and self selected. Moving forward, it’s about the staff adding depth mostly through incoming Frosh, with opportunistic transfers, such as an experienced setter next year to support Stella

Fine, I will leave Wucherer transferring off the table for the 2024 thread. I just think it's an obvious move, if/when Hanson and Acevedo are the focus. Or maybe Wucherer will suddenly start playing much better.

Bro, you are EXHAUSTING. IF you hate the team so much, leave the thread alone! I’ve been working to ignore them, but honestly, I don’t think they hate the team (not as confident of this with regard to a certain setter) What seems — to me — is that they hate players being able to transfer, and believe that any player who has a redshirt year (whatever reason) *will* get away from us by using her last year(s) somewhere else, taking all the effort and work that the staff put in with her. But… transferring is just a fact of life (or college athletics) now. It’s no longer the case that you have to plead with the current coach to let you leave (without giving up a year of eligibility) and only go to those places where he allows you to go. That’s probably a good thing, since the actual environment may not match up with what the athlete *thought* they were signing up for, and even if it is, things just might not fit. An unhappy player shouldn’t have to stick around, nor get penalized for leaving. FWIW, Keegan told me he thought redshirting would greatly *increase* with upcoming changes to rostersize, scholarships, and NIL. Maybe he’s wrong (though I know he has a better sense of things than I do), but maybe we’ll see more and more VB athletes using all five years of eligibility. If so, we’re either going to need to get used to more one- or two-year transfers (both in and out of the program), or programs will need to do a better job at retaining their talent, or we’re gonna be b*tching a lot about some really great people who are simply finding their path as young adults. My $0.02 … BOGO for a limited time.

20% of Minnesotans show their love for Minnesota sports through hate, because they've been burnt so many times they don't know any other way. Like a dog in the pound.
