Has mcmike or any other fan broken down Grote of 2023 vs Grote of 2024? Curious what is behind the difference in her play. Her drives do seem a little faster and her court vision is undoubtedly better. She had some errors going line against tOSU, but so did Hanson. no blame. when you have go to MBs like WI, Purdue (Colvin), you aren't going to see OPP attempts that high. when Wookie was sidelined and MN wasn't passing well Grote was getting set on the left in ro1 a LOT. btw, Purdue got caught in ro1 for 11 straight points by WIs setter, Fuerbringer the other day. my impression is that Grote's high serving efficiency this year is the biggest performance jump. the SA/SE ratio is not helpful in this regard. Thank you for doing this. We have a lot of conference play left. Hopefully, Grote's stats can pick up even more in that category. We need all of our players healthy for post season. The one thing I still am very concerned with is our SR/passing. Any improvement in the latter would be fantastic....sooner than later.

Well, I was able to get disability seating after all! Not the ones that are up against the edge of the court, but they found me some front row spots so I don't have to navigate any stairs. Thanks for the heads up to inquire JT... I can make a few games this year after all!

I would love to see someone put the big10 setter stats together. What do you want to see?

I would love to see someone put the big10 setter stats together. bigten.org/wvb/stats/Click to sort descending by A/S and you'll see the other stat categories lined up pretty well there, too. Of course, this has part-time backup setters included, but easy to visually weed those out IMO.

It's so hard to breakdown setting via statistics, maybe the most eyeball position in all of sports. You can have an amazing setter with terrible passing and mediocre hitters and then an average setter with amazing hitters and getting perfect passes.

Great to hear from Calissa! (And reigning B1G PoW Julia of course)
Interesting hearing Keegan’s response about basically adding new things to practice/their game as they go through a season to keep things engaging. Of course it’s important to evolve your game to make it harder to scout and not be so predictable offensively, but I hadn’t thought about something new and fresh keeping them from falling into a rut.
What comes to mind is when we started seeing some back quicks I think when conference play started. Also Wucherer being 2 for 2 on D balls against Northwestern after only having like 11 back row sets all season. Hanson seems to be getting more sets in the back row.
Almost felt like Keegan was giving a tease about something around the corner! What’s next? 👀

Almost felt like Keegan was giving a tease about something around the corner! What’s next? 👀 After lulling the opponent into a false sense of security, in set three Sky will take over the LIB role, Z will put on a normal jersey, and BAM! will rotate to the front and put on a blocking (and leaping) clinic!

“Next month we plan to start practicing passing; always something up these sleeves! That’s why our uniforms are always two sizes too big.”

Washington beat Oregon in 5. Nervous for how next week will play out. Oregon will want some wins again and Washington seemed to be playing well too. They were undefeated for a good bit.

Well Oregon still has UCLA and NE before playing us so they will have their chances. Washington is still unknown. Without their best scoring OH Barton, I am not sure.
