If we kept Hellvig, this team would of been so good I know shes not lighting it up professionally but she would of been so good in college same with Jolie in 2021 Imagine having Hellvig with Amber throughout the years... what could have been... š Covid Oh, you donāt need to tell me! This unfortunate post is from 2021. If Maddie and Millie become a starting MB/OPP duo, Iām keeping my damned mouth shut! Watching Annika and Anna put up their huge freshman block had me thinking how great it will be to watch that develop for the next four years. Then I remembered that I thought the exact same thing two years ago watching Amber and Hanna, so now Iām not going to count my chickens before they hatch. š¤ I guess the jinx is officially on (at least until next year). š

Raj Hmmm so we will definitely be thin at OH but also not tall, so maybe Ostovar might not be the type of pin needed in that class. Probably better to go for some height and presence at the net but I think it would still be worth it to go after her.

Amber Igiede says goodbye to Hawaiiby: Christian ShimabukuCourtesy Hawaii AthleticsOn her way out after completing her final year of collegiate volleyball for the University of Hawaii, Amber Igiede picked up one final accolade. The middle blocker was named to the AVCA Pacific North All-Region first team on Monday, adding to her long list of accomplishments as a Rainbow Wahine. Igiede, who has already departed the islands after graduating with her degree in May, is eyeing a professional volleyball career. She leaves as one of the programās all-time greats, one of four players in program history to register over 1,000 kills and 500 blocks. Igiede was also the 2022 Big West Conference Player of the Year, racking up four All-Big West selections. āItās very exciting and humbling getting that award,ā Igeide said of receiving AVCA Pacific North All-Region honors on Thursday. āItās just reflective of my team and I, my reflection on UH. I absolutely love the program, I love the people. Itās so heartwarming watching everyoneās support for the UH volleyball team and my next step is hopefully getting a contract to play pro, whether itās overseas or in the US, and hopefully I get a good contract. Itās going to be tough going in halfway through a season or whether its starting in the US but Iām really excited for that. Iām really excited, but its scary.ā

Would the Wahine want to pass on the #1 player in California because she is only 6 feet tall? I recall a similar conversation about Melanie Parra a year ago.

Honestly she would still be a great pickup seeing as how Stella and Tali would be seniors.
