Damn I keep hoping to read great news on the Wahine recruiting front but nada. So Imma goin back to the Men's side where recruiting is on fire. Well, we know that Charlie Wade and staff are working extremely hard trying to make sure the Hawaii Men's Volleyball Team win another National Championship. Cannot say the same for Robyn and staff, it seems they are just cruising along, working as little as possible, not really trying to get the Wahine program back to being a team that is fighting for a National Championship.

I think it's always better to wait and see. It's May and a lot can happen from now until first serve. Completely agree! I'm not happy with the direction the program has been taking either but I'm still hopeful that Robyn and staff can turn things around. We, as fans, should always be hopeful! Go Bows! People can be hopeful as much as they want, but the honest truth is, Robyn and staff do not really care about making the Wahine Team prominent again. It seems Dave Shoji's philosophy and Robyn's is quite different. Dave Shoji's philosophy was to make the Wahine Team, one of the Top Teams, in the NCAA, so he brought in players that could quite possibly take the Wahine Team to that level. By do this, winning Conference Championship was just an afterthought, not a focus. Whereas, Robyn's philosophy is to win the BWC Championship, in a very weak volleyball conference, and nothing else. The Big Problem with that is, once in the NCAA Tournament, Robyn and staff, do not have the Wahine Team talented enough to get pass the 1st round. When you think small, you stay mediocre, that is Robyn, when you think Big, you become successful, that is Dave Shoji.

I am proud of the Beach Wahine, they have had an injury plagued season as well but are peaking at the right time. They lose a lot of talent but I am hearing a lot of great things about their recruiting class, Jordan Brown and the Swiss player will be very good and they are close to adding another very good player. Plus the indoor Wahine staff have been working hard on adding a player who happens to be a strong blocker on the beach as well. A lot of talent to continue to win the Big West in 2025. Makes me wonder if Robyn is trying to get a cross-over beach player to join the indoor team next season? Glagau?

That’s actually a really good thought...Julia Lawrenz was a great JC player and her team won the NJCAA National Championship in 2022.

Not sure if this really matters anymore, but Paula officially removed the "HawaiiVB" from her IG page. So sad...was expecting big things from her this season.
