Very much deserved recognition for Adrianna. She is so versatile at the high school and club level. I hope that she puts in work during the club season and polishes up her setting in time for 2024.

Can you expound on your comment that you hope she "polishes up her setting" in time for 2024? I do not live in Hawaii and have not seen her play, other than a highlight video. It would seem to me that the ILH Division 1 POY would be fairly "polished". I guess being a setter at that next level, is maybe a bigger shift than for a hitter moving to that next level?? We don't get many POY's and that's a pretty notable class to be in. Seems they always choose the mainland. We are lucky.

She does not set for her high school team, and her POY award was earned (deservedly so) as a 6-rotation middle blocker who sometimes passed and hit opposite. She was very good at these things for the Warriors this past year and, in my opinion, was the best player in the state. I have seen her club highlight videos, and while I'm not underwhelmed by her setting, it concerns me that she isn't even a part-time setter for half of the year. If there is any unedited game footage out there with her setting entire matches, I'd like to see it.

Thanks for creating the new thread, can’t wait to read 8 months of arguments and excitement 😂 but seriously I am really looking forward to the new incoming class as well as hoping to see Stella and Bamis get a start sooner or later!

As sad is it will be to realize a very special and impactful class graduates from the program, I am also incredibly excited about the future and what might happen in the off season.
Not sure when spring matches start but PLEASE let’s not try and start guessing lineups until like a week before the game😭? I’m sorry but I feel like it’s just such a ridiculous thing to talk about until before spring matches and then not again until before the actual season.
All that said, can’t wait to see new players make their marks as the new leaders within the Wahine Program!
