What was said in a nutshell was that they (UH coaches) were going through the year end interviews with the individual players asking for feedback on ways they(UH) could improve as coaches. And that they want to start the spring season on the ground running wanting the returners to take over for those who have left. That the ten returning should be ready to lead and carry the tradition. He did say that he wants everyone to return and that (UH) wants everyone to be happy, and if they choose to enter the transfer portal, they would still be loved no matter where they go. He also said that the five coming in are of high caliber and they are equally happy with everyone they recruit. High quality people with good character and high intelligence. Found it strange and perhaps telling that he’d even bring it up, maybe I’m just reading into things unnecessarily! I think he brought it up because Kainoa specifically asked him about the transfer portal and how they navigate it. |

Well it sounded like Kanoa asked about the transfer portal and how UH navigates it all. So it sounds like they understand its the reality ( the portal) and they want students who want to play for more than themselves and the school. Kaleo did say that they are transparent when it comes to what they want from a player. |

I think it’s Paula (if we do lose one), I mean she might realize with Tali being able to play 6 ro and Stella with the arm she has and Caylen more than likely will start her time may be limited and I like that Paula is low error but for the most part her swings don’t hit the ground and that’s in the big west, she may thrive in a different conference that doesn’t play many ranked teams in pre conference. Only one id be devastated to lose is Stella without getting to see her play full time  But anyway that’s just my thought and I hope we don’t lose anyone but will keep updated!! |

Hope not! In any case look at recent follows on SMU, Rice, Clemson, Georgia and Jake Barreau IG pages and probably others to see who is in the portal. I mean Jake Barreau follows the ig accounts of hawaiimvb, hawaiiwvb, former and current Hawaii Men's volleyball athletes, Tali, Stella & Talia. He even follows Elliott Norris. 🤣😭😱😅🤪 |

Why would it be Paula? She was BWHM for playing limited time. I think she might be hurting the past few weeks. The talent is there, she just needs more polishing.

The season's over and they had exit interviews already I think. Anyone wanting to go to the portal should already be there (or be entering really soon). Assuming you have options and now you have options, you want to get yourself in there as early as you can.

BTW…I was scanning VT other threads and saw a LSU thread so I went in to look because they were the team that beat us last year in the post season and went on to put up a “what happened?”Tik Tok video that had many UH fans fired up. Looked like LSU didn’t “happen” this season and ended up 11-17 and half the squad in the transfer portal.  |

I believe they underachieved with that roster but they also played in the SEC which was probably the second best conference this season. To put it in perspective, the Big West is ranked something like 19-20 out of 33. |
