SMU will probably make the top 25 rankings after their sweep over Baylor today. Good thing we played them early in the season. honestly tho, Baylor is too overrated. Baylor has size and highly-regarded talent but they were pathetic vs SMU

btw, is anyone else kinda impressed how Spectrum has that "Non-Stop Travel" graphic at the bottom-right corner of the court? You almost cannot tell that it's just superimposed for TV lol I thought it was on the court! lol LOL you can see it missing during slow-mo replays

Big West website says "The Honolulu product had 14 digs in the third set alone to became the first UH player to record 30-plus digs in a match since 2018, finishing one shy of the UH record in the rally-scoring era. "
She actually set a record for the Rally-25 era. The record that she tied was 33 digs by Melissa Villaroman in 2002 vs Fresno State, but that was during the Rally-30 era. Tita Akiu broke that record in her final match in 2018 against Baylor in the NCAA Tournament with 34 She got snubbed off the Record Book then - page 26

"THE LAST TIME ... A UH player had 30-plus digs in a match… Tita Akiu - 34, vs. Baylor (11/29/18)"

Can anyone catch me up on who our future recruits are? I recall Biondi, Purser, Reid and a couple local back row players. Did I miss anyone?

I don’t think we have many open spots left so I’m guessing we are done for 2025 with Biondi and Reid(and maybe holding one for a possible transfer). I think Robyn is looking for 2026 more than 2025 since most of the good 2025 players already committed. We could use an experienced transfer pin with size and someone with more than one year….ala Paula Guersching. That would be ideal.

She is 2026 and has very impressive highlights for a HS Jr. Stud in the making IMHO. Posted her video on previous post but if you missed it…..

Thank you for providing this video. I like what I see! While I was on page 1, I also watched Biondi's highlights and she seems to have good size!

I hope we can find a decent RS transfer to replace Guersching for next year. Incidentally, Paula is doing well at Miami. Got quality minutes in vs Texas and Indiana. Happy for her but sad for us.
