"Why are they shouting after every kill? They should conserve their energy!"
"Why are they playing so meek? Where is the energy and hustle??"
well i guess that's on the men's thread tho...
This is the superposition theorem at work. The basis for the duality of life, the coexistence of yin with yang within one living system. Seemingly opposite extremes of behavior, including critiques of said behavior, coexisting one on top the other, until an observation interacts with it. The observation of the superposition precipitating into the observers reality a view of the superposition unique to them. That answer was so philosophical and metaphysical, I thought you were Kokyu. My answer to all things in life is give me the "Baby Bear" porridge - not too hot, not too cold, but just right.

The creator of the Volleytalk graphic might have known. Observe that it's a two dimensional view of the yin-yang symbol in the caricature of a volleyball in motion with a striker superimposed. A superposition that's layering a volleyball with a striker with yin-yang duality, smacking into Volleytalk commentary.

If you watch the men's volleyball coaches, they take this approach and does not even raise voices during matches. Charlie is the only one involved and he never ride his players. definitely different coaching styles. Charlie also lets his players pick the area to target on serves... as long as it's a "thumbs-up" serve lol Charlie mentioned that all the preparations are done in practices. The coaches chart out who to serve to and in what rotation and the players know it before going behind the line. The players don’t need to be told where. Charlie runs a lot of game like practices. I believe the ladies spend at least half their practices working on fundamentals and techniques so they run their practices differently.

When the teams watch film, they are given the game plan for that opponent. Only when the coaches see something different in-game do they make adjustments. As far as what is going on Na Wahine's side, that's a different tune. They often error-correct when they see the players struggling with something. That is the general difference between an experienced team and an inexperienced team. Fundamentally experienced players know how to correct errors on their own. Like most sports, you cannot gain experience without playing the game.

This teams team just lacks depth. ONE person, Paula would of made the world of a difference.
Putting paula in as a starter, gives us likely Stella on the bench, and gives us a bigger block
If Paula or Tali struggles, stella can come in
Paula leaving late just messed things up for the staff it was hard to adjust
I get annoyed but im still confident we can win the big west, and even if we dont, win out and drop ONE match in the tournament, best in the finals, I think with our RPI were in. We want SMU, San Diego and Pepperdine to keep winning

Oh well, what’s done is done. All that matters is that the current players on the Hawaii team continue to trend upwards.

(it can be a double-edged sword though, b/c any of their losses will get doubled too... doh!)

I think Hawaii can win both
UCSB is tough, they have had hawaii number, but we just need to get our passing down and I think well be ok
IF we win those two, our RPI will get a massive boost if our OOC wins again like they did

Idk why but I get more worried when it set is out of system for the other team Like it seems like it’s constantly scoring
