lol what? 4.48 kills pretty much means your that team's star player. Hakas averaged above 2.10 POINTS per set.

Thank you for providing this! She definitely was lower error with only 7 unforced errors through 20 sets. Do we know if that percentage on EuroVolley is her hitting percentage or her kill percentage?

Thank you for providing this! She definitely was lower error with only 7 unforced errors through 20 sets. Do we know if that percentage on EuroVolley is her hitting percentage or her kill percentage? Well on the Israeli national team she was playing with elite level setter and had a stud OPP(Polina Malik) who took a lot of the attention …this freeing up the left side with more open looks. We don’t have a stud OPP on this team and a good but not great setter in Kate.

I don't see attempts listed on the stat sheet to do the math myself.

Not sure if her Israeli NT keeps stats like UH but here are some I found from her playing in Israel: Note she had 18 kills against Croatia(lead team) in their second meeting and 16 against Romania(second on team) in the second meeting between the 2 countries .She has the potential to put up good numbers but is inconsistent like I mentioned. I think if Caylen and Paula draw the attention, Tali will get plenty of one on one opportunities and will hit for a better %. 18 and 16 kills are a lot of kills for someone who is supposed to be “junk”. Got 10 kills in her other match so 3 of the 6 matches listed, she went for double digits in kills. I would take that kind of production at UH Also if you look at the scoring leaders on Tali’s team, they have Malik at age 25 and Devash at age 37 so a 20/21 year old Tali Hakas hanging with the older players showed that she can ball. globalsportsarchive.com/people/volleyball/tali-hakas/237426/

BOOM.

How does 21 kills in 27 matches equal to 4.48 kills per set. lollll..

I can see the cheek turning red after calling you out.

jacyn looks slow on blocks... this team needs a blocking coach.

jacyn looks slow on blocks... this team needs a blocking coach. Blocking coach is not going to be the answer to being a better blocking team. We just need more talented MBs…period. We have a former AA and Olympian as a HC. Our setter is nowhere near AA level. I’m not sure why fans keep equating have a certain position coach will make that position better. Shoji’s staff was littered with setters during his tenure but we developed great outsider hitters and MBs too. Nebraska was a good block team and at one time, they had John Cook(never even played volleyball as a youth), Tyler Hilldebrand(a former setter) and Jaylen Reyes who was a libero in his playing days. How do explain that?

How do explain that? I do believe that caliber of the recruit has a say in the outcome as does the coaching. I think Robyn is still finding herself as a coach and is still in the midst of adopting a system for her program. She had good blocking teams early in her tenure and its flat out because she had better blockers.

How do you explain Amber being a 2 time 3rd team AA? Angie was only here during Amber’s freshman year so it can’t be that Angie is the only reason for Amber’s success. The coaches after Angie left have to have taught Amber a few things that made her AA.
Caylen Alexander has become a very good hitter…good enough to be invited to the NT tryout. I don’t see any hitting coaches on our staff. I just see three good volleyball coaches. We have a staff comprise of one setter and 2 liberos. Go figure.

How do explain that? i didn't say it needs to be a middle blocker, i said blocking coach. having a dedicated coach for a skill will make positions better. it's literally the template now? like ram any timeout with kate?? also it may be able to recruit better?? 2 coaches didn't play in the front row and you're telling me that it wouldn't help to have someone that's played in the front row coach blocking technique and schemes? i would argue that tylers background makes him well rounded to teach any skill.
