Lol, I think the LOVB social media team forgot about Heather Gneiting. She is now officially listed as a member of Salt Lake, but they never announced it. It was very weird that they kept announcing new players from PVF, and Gneiting was the only player among the original signings without a team. thats interesting. it wasnt like that the other day. I think it was tuesday? or wednesday? I looked. maybe its coming today. Yeah, sometimes they update the website before they make a social media post, but the banner at the top announcing new signings is still talking about Skylar Fields. And Gneiting is just listed among the Salt Lake players. She isn't highlighted as a "new athlete" the way they've done it for everyone else. So the combination of those factors makes me think that she was supposed to be announced before the PVF signings, and they just forgot. Maybe they will make an announcement today and then highlight her on the website to make it look like they hadn't forgotten about her. Either way, I'm glad it's finally official.

Hmmm- I may have to make a trip to watch this team! Is the schedule out? No schedule yet, but the season starts in January and goes until April, I think. If you're going to make the trip, it would make sense to go to one of the weekend series because then you can see the Salt Lake team play twice, and three other teams will be in town.

interesting. Didn’t most think she’d end up in Madison? Yea, I find that interesting. She's from Minny, sent to Salt Lake, Claire Felix is from Colorado, sent to Madison. Wonder if they had any preferences.

Her and Gneiting put SLC at 15 players. I guess that’s the new roster size for teams.

I bought tickets yesterday for SLC vs Atlanta 2/7/25 and SLC vs Omaha 2/8/25.
Tickets to the general public went on sale yesterday.

Sure, it's like a 10-minute interview, and I don't have anything better to do at the moment. -Poulter moved to Utah about a month-and-a-half ago and is enjoying the offseason by doing outdoors activities (hiking, biking, etc.) -She talks about her international career, five seasons in Italy plus her national team duties -She talks a bit about her experiences in Tokyo and Paris, mainly just the obvious difference in the crowds or lack thereof -She talks a bit about the start of LOVB, highlighting the business background of the people running the league -She gives some advice to younger players about not being afraid to fail and to not get too focused on comparing themselves to other players -She talked about how the local clubs and fans seem excited about the new team -She said she attended Illinois because she was born near Chicago, so she had her grandparents and extended family nearby, and the program was good Honestly, it was pretty surface level. Definitely targeted to a casual sports audience. I wish the interviewer asked about the BYU/Utah players on the team. If the idea is to try to drum up interest from casual sports fans, it would help to talk about players they might actually know.
