I don’t mind her opinion, that’s what she gets paid to do and she wasn’t the only one with opinion before the match. But maybe she’s save her condescending chuckle when discussing the chances a defending national champion has with 2 returning 1st team AA next time. Don't take offense. Y'all played very inconsistently all season...until Stanford. I thought we'd serve you off the court based on Wenaas and Akana and th other DSs play...not the other way around. Enjoy the win. Let go. 🤣

Let go. 🤣 I did think this game would come down to serve/pass (like them all). If Texas couldn’t get Wisc out of system it would have been tough to stop the offense. If Texas couldn’t stay in system Wenaas may get stuck on the front row with Smrek and never leave. But Texas has been a strong blocking/serving team so I liked their chances. Again I don’t mind what she said and I cut some slack as they looked like they just woke up but Wisc wasn’t playing Ball St.

Not to be reductive but Texas tried the same things every team tried all year against WI. Pressure in serve receive, make Sarah work for her points, tip the setter and hope the back row gives you a few points. It’s just that it worked this time.

Skinner was best player the Badgers saw all year…from the service line.

Also - you forgot taking away Franklin's favorite shots

The theory that Texas fans thought a VT poll result would have any actual effect on their team, and thus intentionally tanked it to motivate them… Danno has been on this jag for a while, and I just don't get it. We don't either.

For other's in attendance. I thought Nebraska clearly had the most fans, Wisconsin clearly had more than Texas and Texas clearly had more than Pitt which was minimal and somewhat expected. Not sure what others saw. It looked like 80% Red of some kind.

Just to add to that. One of the frustrating things for Texas fans this year was that when Skinner was "on" with the bic, you wouldn't see it much more in a match. It warmed my heart that Hunt was going back and back and back to the bic.

But I'm not frustrated any more! Yee hee!

Texas deserved to win but Izzy/Hammill so definitely not it. Wisconsin serve generally did not challenge Texas either. Wisconsin passing was all out of sorts too. Wisconsin was significantly outplayed and out coached. The Longhorns should have been favored which I clearly stated prior to game. Even in Set 2 , Texas errors allowed Wisconsin to steal a set and at no point did it feel like Wisconsin was the better team. Texas tore them up with serve. I’m guessing Wisconsin was not prepared- probably their normal play in Big10 - but that Texas serve was LETHAL. Emma halter was also nails. I was so impressed with her play, the badgers just couldn't get anything past her.
