Society will keep unraveling into more and more chaos if we ignore facts for feelings. Something will always hurt someone else’s feelings. If we cancel everything that’s hurts someone else’s feelings life itself would be cancelled. People need to toughen their minds. Weak minds lead to controlled minds. How so many are oblivious to this is mind blowing. People have been brainwashed by the education system. Most education doesn’t teach people to lead it teaches them to follow. People need to stop listening to everything they hear and open their eyes to everything they see You think you are so profound .. LOL

I think is pretty basic logical thinking. I would argue people make things way more complicated than they normally need to be. Understand cause and effect and basic human nature and you can predict many things.

Seems like you want to limit the opportunities for trans girls. We need to keep everyone safe from people with such hateful views.

Man, reading the comments from HappyVolley and boof are a REALLY solid reminder of why I got the heck out of central PA.
And for the record, please don’t attribute their capacity for being horrible to the rest of the Penn State fan base.

I'm done reading Mr. Penn State's close-minded opinions. At the end of the day, there are bad people of all types! We don't stereotype and hate all straight cis people just because one is bad. Volleyball should bring us together, rivalries and all. Hate has no place around here. Closed minded? They’re two biological sexes, men and woman. You can do whatever you want but that never changes. If people want to participate in this mass delusion that a man can become a women and a woman can become a man that’s on them but quit attacking people who don’t want to participate in this madness There are actually many cases that show that there cases of people who do not fit neatly into being biologically male or female. The term for this is Intersex and is much more common than realized. But to maintain simplicity for the simple-minded, we can move forward with the idea that there are two dominant categories of sex assigned at birth, being both male and female. This is pretty widely accepted by many- I won't deny that. The discourse lies with the understanding of the difference between sex (assigned at birth) and gender. Gender is a social construct, as is race. We've created stereotypes/expectations/norms around people tied to their sex at birth. For example, there's a social expectation that people born male should grown into manhood (masculinity, fatherhood, attraction to woman, specific interests). All of this created by society. Think about "gender reveal" parties (which are actually sex reveal). For boys, you will see things like camouflage or toy trucks and action figures. For girls, there are lots of pink and bright colors, Barbie dolls, etc. So before the child is born, we have already assigned interests and expectations on how they should go through life. But again, this is arbitrary and socially constructed. There is nothing inherently feminine about the color pink, we have just decided that. Gender identity/expression is about one's connection to societal expectations placed on them in relation to their sex assigned at birth. Gender identity is one's self conviction of being a man, woman, neither, or blend of both. Gender expression would be the physical manifestation of that conviction through clothing, hair, voice, etc. This isn't about denial of two biological sexes, but rather opposition to the idea that how you dress, what your interests are, the role in society you play, your career path, etc. should be determined by what reproductive tract you have.

I don’t disagree with any of what you said but why can’t, in the case of sports, competitors be categorized by XX and XY?

It’s purely based on one’s feelings no facts at all.

I would argue people make things way more complicated then they normally need to be People use 'basic logical thinking' as another way to say 'I don't wanting to think more beyond my already determined and narrow view of the issue'. It is a very complicated and nuanced issue and gender and sex have always been complicated and nuanced issues. It is something we are all learning to navigate and we don't have the perfect answer as to where trans athletes fit into college sports and beyond. But trans people deserve to be able to play the sport they love and to be so dismissive of the human aspect of that because of 'logical thinking' is so dumb and reductive. Read a book or something and stop listening to Ben Shapiro

Cause if we think a certain way we must watch or listen to this person is ridiculous I can argue when people say that’s my truth that almost always equals personal opinion nothing factual

I think their better odds are going after an international player with sketchy eligibility. We have seen this song and dance already many times. A biological male that is nothing in men’s league become a star of women’s league in physical sports. It’s why there is women’s and men’s divisions to begin with otherwise they would all have been playing together from the start. The compromise between peoples beliefs would be a transgender league. They don’t want that cause I suspect people know it prob won’t make any money but if we want fair that would be the fair compromise. That way you’re taking all women’s feelings into account also and not just transgender people. How can’t people see that if this is allowed to continue the way it is biological women’s sports will be over. It will be overtaken by males pretending to be females. If it didn’t work with that trans swimmer, it won’t work in women’s volleyball which is widely more popular. There are so many talented biological female athletes. This stint is more to gain national attention to UW.

Identity politics is very divisive and can’t sustain indefinatly. Eventually it falls apart. How do you keep in going for max time through censorship of any info that counters that message. Truth never needs to be censored cause it always finds a way out eventually. Censorship is only every used for lying a deceit cover

This is so wrong. Another real woman losing a scholarship from a biological man. NCAA must put a stop to this. The feelings of the majority is far more important than the feelings of minority. Is anyone actually sure that Tate will be receiving a scholarship? I know the article stated so but not relying on that as a source.

He should join the men’s league where he will be deemed USELESS.

What is it that’s being “forced” on you??? Trying to force people to call others he, she , they , them or trying to attack people who don’t comply as dangerous. They them is a term for mutiple. The whole thing is insanity Again, who is forcing you to do anything?
