Attention all Badger fans: CARLINI AND RETTKE WILL OFFICIALLY BE OLYMPIC MEDALISTS!!! Rettke hasn't seem any action yet, has she? I thought she had to have played at some point to get a gold medal.

She came in vs France, late in the third set; rotated back to serve, and had a foot fault. (I don't know if she got in either of the first two matches.)

Since she’s officially on the roster, she would have earned a medal regardless of if she hadn’t subbed in. I believe the “must play” is only for the alternate / players moved for the alternate.

The old are the last to know. Age has absolutely nothing to do with it. I'd have objected to black jerseys (or green or purple) every bit as strongly when I was a UW student in the late 1970s. The difference is then nobody would have ever even suggested such a thing. I have no problem with alternate jerseys that feature a new color or pattern as long as we still stay in Wisconsins color scheme. Its a refreshing new look. A black jersey with red lettering and white borders, no problem. Yellow and gold like Oregons colors, no thank you.

Looks like Devyn, Sarah and Julia have been named captains. Sheffield said they were the captains at Big Ten media days. He said that Devyn and Sarah were captains along with Julia.

No more sellouts yet, but the Texas A&M, Washington, Northwestern, Iowa, Ohio State, and Michigan State games are down to single seats in the back corners of Red.

General Admission tickets to Mackey Arena (the at Purdue game) are only 5 dollars plus 1 dollar handling fee......you can't beat that to see the Badgers. I paid a hell of a lot more for my Fiserv tickets (good for both Wisconsin and Texas and Minnesota and Stanford.)

Admit the ravages of age? Of course it is neither a secret nor a mystery to those with whom I associate. Things called mirrors, DLs, and other markers of time that shouldn't be ignored. Markers like being stuck in the past and rueing change. I appreciate your concern for my sage elder but trust we are good, bless your heart. ❤️🥹 I'm concerned about something else, but okay, brush it off as you will. It doesn't change the fact that not only was it rude to simply brush off someone's well-elucidated and reasoned opinion as "oh they're old", it was a personal attack on that person's age AND it simply failed to win any arguments. There's this thing we used to learn in school called "logic", and that kind of response was called "ad hominem", or attacking the person rather than their argument. And while I'm sure politics have numbed us all to ad hominem attacks, it doesn't change the fact that they are wrong, rude, and lazy, and shouldn't be a part of polite conversation. And if a Bucky fan cannot converse politely with another on this board, they ought to disengage. Thus endeth my polite critique of your debating style. Gurl you aren't going to teach me anything about public debate as I do it for a living and do it well. When someone hangs their hat on history and ignores progress for the simple fact they don't like it, while they can possess their opinion, I can also make light of the fact that it is an opinion based on an opinion and there's no winning. At the same time, I can guess (and did so very accurately I will add) that age is directly correlated to inability or lack of willingness to embrace change. 😘 No debate here because one doesn't debate or win an argument based on opinion, bless your heart.

OH! Well, that makes sense - "public debate" has nothing to do with logic and everything to do with using logical fallacies to the utmost. Explanation accepted.

Logic and law are beyond intertwined. Logic and opinion, on the other hand. 🙄 I'm bored...moving on.
