Thought it was funny that Punzel brought up the cheerleaders (Who I didn't notice at all even watching on TV) I don’t even notice IN PERSON that there were cheerleaders there. If not for this being pointed out, I probably would have assumed they were always there. That said, I popped in some headphones to listen to the debate and watch it during breaks in the action. Guess Kelly wasn’t the only one who was interested in it. LOL

Pom poms on the floor and doing the 'male holding the female high in the air' right where the players were running to high-five the kids. It was very 'crowded' on that part of the floor. I certainly hope somebody noticed and will do something about it.

Thinking about recruiting: the only talk I like to shut down in here is talk of our players transferring out. Also not wild about speculating hard at who will transfer from other schools mid season - it seems kind of rude and I don't like it when others do it to us.

I feel like that's the rule of thumb on this thread, which is why it's never really worked to have a recruiting thread. We're mostly focused on the volleyball being played in season, and leave everything else for silly season 😁

The other thing I don’t like is when someone on the current team has a bad match and talk immediately goes to future transfers/possible recruits in their position. When recruiting talk is generated by actual recruits doing good things, or just wishful thinking that isn’t inspired by what are perceived to be the current team’s failures, then I’m fine with it. And I’m fine with >95% of the recruiting talk on this thread.

With the number of posts in other threads, like MN, of "shouldn't this be in the future thread?" - I much prefer the WI single thread approach

Oz needs to get some swag out there for sale with "Dominated by Joy" branding. It is an awesome phrase.

I am glad that UW is making the post-game press conference available on You Tube. It is better to see and hear the players and to get to hear the comments that don't make it into the Punzel/Stewart stories. That is a nice improvement.
I don't have a strong opinion on whether the cheerleaders add anything to the fan experience but it is good to see as a sign of Athletic Department commitment to improving what is already a great fan experience in the Field House.
Also, the new video boards in the "Hall of Fame" hallway are a nice improvement.

Also, the new video boards in the "Hall of Fame" hallway are a nice improvement. I think that whole hallway upgrade was very well done and I like it a lot. During the Bradley match as I was admiring it I had lots of company too.

With regard to next season: I agree it makes sense to redshirt Tosia along with Una this year. Let them both use this season to work with Kevin and get adjusted to school and the game and the language (I'm sure they both speak fine English, but living in another language all the time is a different experience and can be exhausting at first). I that we need another pin badly. With roster caps (allegedly) going up to 18 I anticipate Sheff will pursue one or more quality pins in the portal. He may also look overseas. Grad transfer numbers will be reduced massively in 2025 and onward since this is the last bonus COVID year.

Yeah, I think Julia and GG both said it was a hard transition their first year, so this makes a lot of sense.

Sheffield tweeted “Big news coming today!” and then deleted it. Hmmm It’s still showing up?

He put it back. Any guesses? Huh, no idea. I mean, it's obviously not a bingo. Are we going to be on NBC or ABC or something? Edit: or it has something to do with his retweet if this field house fan club thing:
