A lot of really good teams have gotten beat fairly soundly by other good teams. Sunday will be good for a rebound and Penn State a really good test. Move forward. Nebraska and Pitt are likely a notch above everyone but that doesn’t mean WI can’t beat them later. The margin may be slim. I got that sense early in this match even before things got worse.

I've looked at the VP meet up video and Tosia standing next to Carter, I think I would have her in that 197 - 198cms range or 6'6" as I said in one of my previous post regarding Tosia's true height. I think Carter is about 201cms aka 6'7". Hopefully Punzel could clarify Tosia's true height since that's what they did with Anna since she was 6'8" and I think Punzel then reported that she grew to 6'9" (possibly 6'10") though. I think Anna is about 207 - 208cms which is about 6'10". The same could be said about Devyn being about 190 - 191cms or about 6'3" and CC being about 188cms or about 6'2". Kamala posted on her twitter account a video of Devyn showing off her various championship rings (and engagement ring), and from one moment to the next, either Booth is slightly taller or Tosia is slightly taller, depending on camera angle and who is stepping forward or back, etc. Essentially even. For me on the C-span video and looking at most angles, Carter is slightly taller. But it looks like Carter is about 3cm taller than Tosia so I'm putting Tosia at about 197-198cm or 6'6" as I said.

The Huskers being able to side out in the fearsome Charlie serving rotation was huge, sadly!

Punzel's piece tonight: "I think a lot of the time it’s easy to look at it and say what was different about the block,” Booth said. “But I think one of the biggest deciding factors in how well a team blocks in a match is service pressure. I feel like they put a lot of service pressure on us, got us out of system and made it really easy to identify where the ball was going to go. And on the flip side, they were in system a lot of the time.”“We are a veteran team but that comes with being able to act like that and being able to develop as the season goes on and being able to stay hungry and grow in other aspects, maybe outside of volleyball,” Franklin said. “Maybe on the court. Maybe different things we can do just to get that edge because right now where we’re at, we don’t have that. So searching for things outside of that and outside of ourselves I think would be a big thing.”Sheffield said his team is close to putting things together, although the clock is ticking as they try to do just that.
“Big Ten championships reward consistency, match-in, match-out, being ready to play every single match,” Sheffield said. “Being hungry, humble, just going to work. We’re not that far off, but clearly, we’ve got work to do. That’s, hopefully, what will be fun about the next however many weeks we’ve got left.”
Credit to Carter, Sarah and Kelly for keeping it real, even if it is a bit discouraging

The team hasn't found it's consistency yet and I think the team will be at it's best once everything is settled late into the NCAA finals where even a 10th seed team could upset a top 5 team.

All we gotta do is look at last years tournament to see a non-top 4 seed win the natty, but that is going to be WORK

The biggest thing i saw was Nebraskas serve was very good. Cooks teams normally serve lower risk high percent but they were serving bullets last night. Maybe they did learn something from Texas last year.

Beat PSU and Nebraska (next time) and PSU beat Nebraska PSU (if no more losses) would be the champion. Also if PSU and Nebraska only have one loss but PSU has the head to head win would it still be shared title? Wisconsins chances are slim but they still have a path but don’t control their own destiny. On another note I don’t think they should serve zone 1 as much next time. They should serve down the line at Murray and Landfair. Keep it away from the littles.

Not the right moment. It's a zero sum game. Some are happy some are not. And you know it better than me. You're right these girls have NEVER mention their political beliefs in what has been probably the most polarizing time in the US possibly ever. Living in a college town. In one of the most important swing states of the election. Discussions of politics has NEVER came up. Being women during a time when arguably one of the most important court cases cases of all time for women's rights in the US got turned back. These girls have NEVER went to a political rally before. You're right lmao. Also pray do tell when is the next moment they'd get the chance to meet the VP of the US and POTUS candidate if they turn down this one because it's "not the right moment"? Y'all, politics belongs on the OTN thread. Can we drop this thread of conversation now? pull3, that goes for you as well.

Concern. Last night in the post game presser Sarah said, "We don't have that edge right now." What? Everybody? Just some? And if they don't have that "edge" get them off of the court. This should NEVER be an acceptable statement for an elite, compete for the national championship every year, team. I can take a guess based on what I saw out in public in Milwaukee at the start of the year who might be the subject(s) of reference here. Sometimes it's good to "get away from the game" and have some fun. But if I looked as bad as I did in Milwaukee, I'd be spending my time between the two matches watching film and finding somewhere, where ever, to be working on my game to be better. Maybe a few weeks ago Kelly WAS actually referencing players not being properly focused on improving on their craft when he made comments in a presser. Bottom line, at this point in the season, it's unacceptable for one of your players to say we don't have the edge right now.

on the bright side, next year we will have a whole new court of starters with no bad habits (yet) that we won’t be tired of! Lol any recruits there tonight? Aside from Pierce? Just kidding, but seriously. Quest and Horner were there, maybe also Wardlow (couldn't tell for sure).
