No way. They both played above expectations but also were not as good as whom they were replacing (though I really liked Saige's passing once they got the seams worked out). Also, Sheffield isn't going to make quick lineup changes at this point. By November he's going to be committed to his tournament lineup (which, for better or for worse, involves the three-middle platoon) so unless one of them was an absolute standout and could repeat it over multiple games and practices, they wouldn't replace Lola or GG. That being said, what may have happened is one of them sees more time at DS since GG's injury appears to be ongoing (I could see them sitting her for the last two games vs Michigan State and Ohio State). So one of them may have beaten out Carly for that "second DS in" spot. All makes sense, will have a ton of options next year with simon, will probably be Dsing an outside next year so 5 for 3 spots makes me feel cofnident in backrow/passing once Orzol and franklin are gone. How nice is it to have two OHs who pass/defend like liberos Think we may move back to a 2018 O-line model again with three DSs and a SS. But it depends who if a major pin hitter arrives in the portal. For the many smalls to work, there has to be a more robust middle attack than we have seen since Rettke left.

I checked social media to get us some answers abt Lola
Lola posted a photo on TikTok confirming she HAS a concussion, but it has since been deleted. She also shared a farewell post on Instagram on 11/8 for her Nana, who recently passed away.
I would assume that Lola will not be playing on Wednesday. Even if it isn’t a “bad” concussion, she still needs to sit for an amount of time. Unsure how long that may be

Losing a grandparent is never easy.

Assuming and hoping all 4 littles are health ythis weekend, did Chan or Damrow do enough to beat out GG or Schumacher? seems like no matter what we'll have a solid duo back there. I think the biggest difference between Saige and Lola at this point is their attitudes. Lola's attitude more mirrors Barnsies. Saige put some very good play on tape the other night. If Lola goes down for whatever reason at the minimum we'll feel better about our transition to a replacement libero. But I don't think at this point there is much of a gap between the two. I can't wait for next season for the fierce competition as Kristen Simon enters the fray.

Badgers are one of four best teams in the nation. They have proven their worth over past 15 matches.

Badgers now lead the country in blocks per set at 3.09, Louisville seond at 3.07 (I'm fairly certain they run a 6-2 so pretty good t obe beating them)

Interesting here that top 4 is all top 10 teams, most stats have a lot of solid teams from shaky conferences on top. Only 28th in opponent hitting percentage
